If we go back on the plane in 2004 (whether it crashes again or lands at LAX), all the references and work done to recreate a similar situation to Oceanic 815 with Ajira 316 will look pretty silly/wasted to me.

That's why I don't feel guilty about not being so invested in the mythology - at least half of it is stuff that was there either just because of the "cool factor" or it meant something but that something changed along the way.

Like honestly, I've already prepared myself for the possibility of the explanation on smokey being the most retarded thing ever.

I had never expected anything about the Smokey explanation before S5, now with the whole Locke/Esau thing I am somehow curious instead, and probably I should've stayed disinterested for my own good.

I've lost some faith in these writers to give proper resolution to the mysteries on the show based on the S5 finale and what caused the big Dharma incident. It just was the lamest thing ever.

I've never been super interested in the mythology after S2, so I don't care if everything makes sense, but that's just because I'm too busy worrying that the biggest stuff (the whole Destiny plot, the characters' storylines) will get screwed up as well.

And there are many things I don't even know how "big" should be considered anymore. Like Ben, Widmore, Desmond.

I think Ben and Widmore are now meaningless in this island battle. Jacob and Esau!Locke seem to be the big dogs.

And Locke became important after he died. I also think Claire got the most attention of the past two seasons when she disappeared.
That tells you a lot about this show.

Seriously. Lol! This season was the less we've ever had of Ben and Jack. I fully expect Hero!Jack to make a resurgence next season, but I'm not so sure about Ben. I think his days are numbered. Then again, it's season six. Maybe all of their days are numbered.

LOL! I sort of liked Ben last season, because he looked way more human than in the past. Butl they seem to have ripped away any kind of power he had.
Yet, he killed Jacob, so who knows if there is going to be any follow-up of that.

My main reasons not to believe everyone would be doomed and going to meet their death in the end were the kids, but if there is a reset there may not be any kid to go back to.
