Do you think it was a hoax? It could have been his assey way of getting shippers to fight each other.

I don't think it was a hoax, but I don't believe he'll report anything more about it.

I dozed off around 10:00 and when I woke up at 11:30, I saw the forum had gone down. Because of this I got bored and logged onto TWOP and went to the Skate thread. I literally wasted an hour reading through it but it got me thinking about something.

I didn't really like how cliche the writing was in season 5. It just seemed so black and white. Like Kate comes back to the island, Suliet dismantle and then Juliet dies. I know that it was probably a source of angst for Skate in season 6, but it was just a little too convienent for me. I really think the best thing Darlton can do now is to respect the Suliet relationship rather than bringing Juliet back in some ghostly manner to make it seem as if Skate was meant to be. Eh, it's a bit too forced for my liking and I am afraid that Darlton will try to write towards that angle.

I'd rather they just started afresh with Skate and had them get to know each other again. I can buy into the notion that Sawyer really did move on from Kate, but maintained romantic tension for her (it was scattered throughout the season), than Darlton try to force anything for them in season 6. I always admired that Skate just was the organic couple on Lost, and I'd hate to see that change. It wasn't as if the writing was in Skate's favor, but the story just evolved in a way that revealed more and more things about their relationship. That's one of the main failures of Lucas/Peyton from OTH. Instead of having them start again after Lindsey dumped Lucas, they tried to do some dumb dream sequence in the premiere of season 6, so it looked as if Peyton was his first choice all along when the story had evolved past that stage in Lucas' life.

I guess I would like to see Skate rebuild a companionship, etc, and Kate eventually helps Sawyer try to move past what happened in the finale. I can see a blow out and such so they an lay out everything on the line then they can move forward romantically if Darlton wanted to do that.

That's exactly what I want to see. I'd be fine with Skate getting back together in the end if we saw them re-building their relationship prior to it.

Yes, I think it's better that they get back together in the end (if they do), rather than Darlton try to force some storyline on us that seems extravagent and forced. Eh, I only need to watch the J/E chemistry and I'm fine, plus I agree with Josh that it would look shallow if they just threw in SK to get back to the triangle. I think Skate mean too much to me for anymore frakery with them in the last season.

The one thing I am very nervous about is how Sawyer's character will come off looking in regards to this triangle. It's makes sense that he moves on because why should he be miserable because of a fate Juliet chose for herself? The problem is, I don't want it to look like Sawyer had three years with Juliet (in some form), where he was first priority, but then he was so horny for Kate he allowed himself to get sucked into a triangle where Kate still has no idea who she wants. I don't think he would be horny for her because I don't think he got over her, but it might come across that way if he just throws himself into a triangle. I don't think the audience would love it (nor would I), because why would he put himself out there to get hurt after Juliet already died on him? It would be like loosing out twice you know?

I dunno, I think I am too protective of Sawyer to want to see him loose on on Jack or anyone again.

I personally don't see Sawyer putting himself out there or doing any pursuing this time around. Nor do I see Kate giving anyone mixed signals. I think they've both come so far and know exactly what they want now. The triangle permutations can't be the same as it was before.

That's what I am afraid of though. How would it work because after how Sawyer treated her, I am not sure she'll put herself out there. I am now thinking about the scene where Kate tells Sawyer if he jumped to get away from her and he told her they wouldn't have worked out. Technically he evaded giving her a real answer but to her that mirrored what Cassidy said, and so she figured he didn't want her, then seeing him with Juliet lead her to believe he had moved on. Eh, how is she gonna put herself out there?

That's why I am afraid Darlton will do that ghost thing and it's like a big DNW for me because it's extremely cheesy and I don't buy into the notion that someone else needs to tell you what you need to do and when you need to go after someone you love, lol.

Sawyer gave Kate lots of reasons to stay guarded back in season one when she kept trying to connect with the human being inside of him. But none of that deterred her. I don't see Kate leaving Sawyer all to his lonesome when he's sure to be desolate and angry like that again.

That's true. It's most likely that Kate will try her best to be there for him

Btw you know what would have been cool? For these two characters to meet in an alternative timeline. I'd have liked to see them try to outwit each other and it would be hot and explosive because they wouldn't have all the weird romantic entanglements but would have that awesome chemistry.

Still hot when they were somewhat devious in S1 but by then both were on their way to a redemptive path.

I love them. I keep rewatching their old scenes. I seriously wish they were given more scenes in the later seasons

Story required otherwise. They were separated. What goes down next season is what matters.
