I see what you are saying, but come on: You don't think Kate was a little too easily accepting of Suliet? You weren't hoping to see more pining from her?? I mean, this guy was supposedly so important to her that the loss of him made her need to keep a child to fill the hole in her heart, then when she is reunited with him and sees that he is with another woman, she acts like it's no big deal!! I am not saying she should have put the moves on the guy or seduced him, but why did she have to be so "that's that" about it?

Even if Sawyer was pushing her away and acting like he only wanted Juliet, it shouldn't have made Kate's feelings change. She could have still been shown to still want and love the guy, even if it wasn't to be. A sad look here, some pining there...Not pathetic stuff, but realistic stuff. That would have made Kate a little more sympathetic I think, instead of where she is now. Hell, even Sawyer had these moments and he was the one involved in another relationship!

I was not happy with the way Sawyer/Kate/Juliet played out this season. I thought there was a lack of intensity. I didn't get the purpose of Suliet because they never handled it right. To me it's equilvalent to Glee where some people are saying the intent of Puck/Rachel was to make Finn and Quinn jealous, but they barely focused on the jealousy so that message never translated well among the fandom.

I just think Darlton could have done something differently if they wanted to.

I know how triangles works, I just don't understand how a ship like Lost has to follow the same conventions. Can you honestly say there is anything extraordinary about this triangle? The only thing more predictable than the way they handled this triangle is a Jate ending.

Jess - Because the situation was very "that's that." There is absolutely no way in hell Kate could've been shown to be even remotely jealous that Sawyer moved on. Not after three years and certainly not after she'd been with Jack just two days prior. I think she saw that Sawyer seemed content with his life and she didn't want to mess that up for him. I think that in itself was a testament to how much she still cares for him.

And the reason Sawyer had those moments was because it was HIS triangle. He was the one conflicted. For all intents and purposes, they gave Kate a much needed break from it all. Neither Jack or Sawyer were on her 'love connection' radar.

And....it's a triangle. Right down to the bitter end. It was always going to go back to those three. How the permutations unfold this time around is anybody's guess. But personally, I don't see Sawyer doing any pursuing.

Ada - No triangle is extraordinary. They're aggravating, tedious and annoying. This is the way it is.

In my experience with shipping, the only love triangle that didn't make me want to throw things was the one on Felicity. I thought both guys were likeable and could perfectly understand why she'd be torn, but ultimately I wanted her and Ben together. They had the better romantic chemistry.

The Lost triangle is definitely tiring, especially in the later seasons, but it's not anywhere close to being the worst I've seen.
