That was an honest moment between them. Neither one was thinking of anything else.

That hug is one of my favorite Skate scenes ever. But the one from OOU is seriously in my top five. It still melts my heart.

The hug in episode 3x16 is my only solace in the second part of the third season, I so loved how the whole focus of the group reunion was on Sawyer and Kate.

Jack's only fans seem to be Jin and Sun, every time he comes back from somewhere those two spot him at the horizon.

Sun has always been a Jack lover. She's just not a kiss ass like...erm, some people.

Sun is a lot stronger than most people give her credit for. And we have seen her questioning Jack sometimes, the same I can't say for some other character.

Sun is a freaking bad ass! I love her intelligent complexity. Even when she does questionable things, I still root for her. Not want to smack her silly.

I think Claire used to be a good fan of him too.

I'm a James fan first and this season hasn't been kind to a James fan. It's possible that James and Kate won't see each other again this season.

I was arriving from S3 with already several reasons to be pissed about the writing of my couple, then S4 gave me close-to-zero Sawyer storylines and screentime, a flashforward storyline for Kate with Aaron which I hate, and an episode like Eggtown as the last memory I have of those two. And I still have to watch Damon and Carlton flip the coin to decide between Sawyer and Jack - literally.
With only 6 hours of show this year, what can we hope for? In a goodbye scene if we're lucky. Whatever issue stood between them won't get any progress or explanation, and that's more than frustrating.

Can I imagine Sawyer and Kate reconnecting when she comes back to the island, after years spent separated? And why the line I just wrote seems a blurb for a past episode of Guiding Lights?

It's pure soap opera.

Pretty much. They officially crossed over into soap territory during s3. The triangle was annoying in s2, but no where near as insufferable as it is now.

In S2 it was already annoying, yes, but Kate hadn't shared any real intimate/emotional scene with neither of the men, she had kissed both but in odd circumstances. If I Do never existed, the outrage wouldn't be so big.
In S2, if someone had said to me they could write something like Catch-22, I would've fought teeth and nails to defend the "honor" of Lost replying it was impossible.

Heh, imagine that. Even though I didn't view C22 as THAT bad in the overall picture, it was still an awful way to go. Kate looked horrible. And still does.
