12:20pm PDT Thursday. He was rushed to UCLA Medical Center in full cardiac arrest. He died shortly afterwards. They haven't had a news conference from the hospital yet. I'm waiting to hear more.

You should check TMZ. They reported the news first so I assume they get their info from someone who works at the hospital. I think he was dead already at home. They tried reanimating him but unsuccessfully.

The only thing I heard was he had stopped breathing at the house and they pronounced him dead at the hospital.

I was trying to remember what I read on TMZ, but it's impossible to access that site right now.

I hate tmz, so here is what the L.A. Times says:

Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead today after paramedics found him in a coma at his Bel-Air mansion, city and law enforcement sources told The Times.

Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told The Times that paramedics responded to a 911 call from the home. When they arrived, Jackson was not breathing. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda said.

Hundreds of reporters gathered at the hospital awaiting word on his condition. The sources, who spoke on the condition that they not be named, said family members rushed to Jackson's bedside, where he was in a deep coma.

The circumstances of Jackson's death remain unclear. Law enforcement sources said that Los Angeles Police Department robbery-homicide detectives have opened an investigation into the death, though they stressed there is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing. The detectives plan to interview relatives, friends and Jackson's doctors to try to figure out what happened. The L.A. County coroner's office will determine a cause of death.

I know that this news is real, but it still doesn't sink in with me, it feels like a joke spread around. Perhaps because the whole day I've been watching and listening to the news of Farrah Fawcett's death.

I know, I was preparing myself for non-stop Farrah for the rest of the evening. Now I have to endure wall to wall MJ instead.

This doesn't even seem real. I'm just in shock. I can't believe the headlines I've been watching for the past couple hours. I feel like bursting into tears. Say what you want about MJ's personal life and scandals, but he was truly the greatest entertainer that ever lived. There will never be another performer, musician and icon like him. Ever. And my heart just hurts for the three children he left behind.

And poor Farrah Fawcett as well. Not to mention Ed McMahon just a couple days ago. Death really does comes in threes.

Michael Jackson was truly an icon, and I think dying at 50, which is still a relatively young age these days, will feed his myth even more.
I had my cousin obsessed with him, plus he was everywhere when I was little and I have his songs and sequences of his videos forever stuck in my head.

And not to add sadness to woe, but I just looked at some screencaps of
Spoiler:
Guy's death scene.

I can confirm the spoilers I posted thne other day are 100% true.

I can't say I'm affected by MJ's death. It sad that he died at the age of 50 and left 3 children behind, but other than that, I don't feel anything. The last celebrity whose death made me cry was the Crocodile Hunter even though I watched his show only from time to time.

It was tragic that he died the way he did, considering that he had been around much more dangerous animals.

Michael Jackson was obsessed with the idea of getting old and ill, so at least he died in a way that wa quick and not painful.
His body was probably incredibly weak.

Spoiler:
I handled the caps where he's stabbed pretty well, but there is his look while he's saying his last words to Robin, in one cap, I don't know if it's resignation or peace or just the fact that he's looking consciousness, but... ;___;
And I liked Isabella, but considering that she stabbed her brother after he had altready been passed by Vasey's sword, I kind of commented with a "hell, yeah" when she was blown up with the castle.
