Ours did the same in the past days going on and on about Italy not beating France in the European competition since 1978.

I have a soft spot for the Spanish team, so it won't hurt to lose against you guys. Well, of course it would be better if Italy won, lol! But what I hope for is a great game, I want Italy to either pass to the next round or lose showing a good soccer.

I'm already happy we beat France, that team is the only big rivalry I feel sport wise.

Louise, what did you name your piggies? The brown one looks like "Colonel Reginald Pickles" or "Reg" when it's in a playful mood. What what pip pip.
well that brown one is called Tufti and the speckled one is Mufti; my friend came up with them as I couldn't think of a single thing.

Congrats to Italy, though France were one of the teams I was supporting .

On the personality test I got Harmony-seeking Idealist , incredibly accurate I think.

Wonderful names.

Good luck to everyone's teams.

I need to stay away from youtube. I am at this clip. It's a Mad TV music video spoof of "Umbrella" with Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama.

That video is disturbing but funny too .

Anyone heard of the film called "The Edge of Love", its about Dylan Thomas' younger days and Matthew Rhys from Brothers & Sisters plays him. Its out today but unfortunately not showing at either cinema near me , hopefully I'll get to see it eventually though as the trailer at least looked good.

Just a reminder I won't be online until Sunday evening as I'm leaving for Devon later today.

I think MadTV is much funnier than Saturday Night Live , but SNL gets much better ratings.

Safe journey, Louise.

Clips from So You Think You Can Dance
Contemporary Dance from Courtney a comtemporary dancer and Gev a breaker.

Argentine Tango from Chelsie a balllroom dancer and Mark a comtemporary dancer. The costumer made an unfortunate choice in Chelsie's undergarments.

That Clinton/Obama clip is hysterical, LMAO! Thanks Maria, I'll watch the SYTYCD clips later.

Have a great time in Devon, Louise.

And I'm giving a big virtual hug to Misty.
Fatih Terim must be the luckiest trainer I've ever seen in a competition like the Euro.

I quit watching after the regular 90 minutes were over. They should've been more agressive. The Turks might've been lucky but I don't think they won undeservedly.

I'm not making this up, I quit watching after Croatia scored the goal - I went to pee, came back and my mom said "they scored a goal", and I told her that was old news - only when I heard the mention of the penalties I realized what had happened.

I think both team didn't want to make any risky move and that's why both didn't look very aggressive, but all in all Croatia deserved the victory more.

I knew when we scored because the neighbourhood went wild. It's been super quite ever since they evened.

I hate it when teams play it safe. The goal won't come out of nowhere. Attack is the best defense and even if it isn't, it's more interesting to watch.

BTW my mom wanted to know why I was cheering for Croatia so much and didn't trust my "they play a better soccer" explanation. She's convinced I have the hots for one of your players.
It's a bit offensive that my own mother thinks of me as that shallow.

How did you resisted staying away from tv? In the past I've changed channel for a few minutes, put the television on mute, or even covered my eyes lol, but I never was able to turn the tv off or leave.

I agree, but the quarterfinals were a big deal for both teams, I'm sure both expected the other to be more aggressive and strike them when their defence made a wrong move, but the result was a very static game.

Or having such bad taste in men? Our players - not pretty imo.

I left it on, but closed the door to my room. I went to see the goal after all the noise. Usually, I watch it all, but this time I had a bad feeling about the game.

Simic is kind of cute, though.

Unfortunately your feeling was right.

It always gets to me when I see players crying. Usually I have the opposite reaction to tears but I don't know why I symphatize with how you must feel losing at the point.

Kind of, but he hardly plays these days.

I always feel sorry for whoever loses. I think I would've felt more sorry for Turks had they lost than for our team tonight.

It often happens to me as well, lol. I didn't enjoy our victory in the semi-final of Euro 2000 because I felt too bad for Holland.
But your case it's different! It's not like Croatia didn't deserve to win, although the team didn't play in a fantastic way..
