Nestor Carbonell Back in Batman Dark Knight Rises




The casting news for "The Dark Knight Rises" keeps rolling in. Last week we reported that Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff, and Ben Gorman were in talks to join Christopher Nolan's next Batman flick, and this week it looks like Nestor Carbonell will be returning to Gotham City for his role as Mayor Anthony Garcia, too.

The casting report comes courtesy of Variety, and indicates that we'll be get another look at the actor predominantly known for his work on "Lost" and other TV shows, as well as "The Dark Knight."


"The Dark Knight Rises" will begin shooting this summer in scenic Pittsburgh. Returning performers include Christian Bale (natch!) and Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, while Anne Hathaway told Oprah she'll be joining the ensemble as the kitten with a whip, Catwoman.

Other exciting additions include Joseph Gordon-Levitt, rising star Juno Temple, and Tom Hardy as the baddie Bane.

Who will be missing? Well, Liam Neeson as the villainous Ra's al Ghul, for one. However, rumors are still flying about whether or not Two-Face will be showing up for some mischief.

I'm glad Nestor will be back for B3! That movie is shaping up to have a huuuuge cast.

There was a brief period of time where I was incredibly intrigued by Richard Alpert and selfishly wished that Cane would get cancelled so Nestor would get back on Lost.
Cane was indeed cancelled, and while my character-crush on Richard never fully developed, I still feel a lil' bit guilty for hoping his other project ended in a failure.

...Cool story bro.

Daniel would enjoy a rock climbing gym. Look at those bulging thighs and arms. He's so fit.
