I just saw the season finale. Absolutely AWESOME. I've got so many questions right now that I don't know how I'll make it till 2008 to find out what happens next.

Wasn't there something about a diary at the funeral ? I saw the cap of Ben writing in a diary.

How come nobody on the beach heard Hurley's van?

Also, he seemed to be driving with his eyes shot at one point. For all he knew he could've run over his own guys.

Oops, sorry Sayid, Jin and Bernard.
Damn, I accidentally ran over Sawyer and Juliet. Well, I guess that's what they get for not taking me with them.

I think I died at Enrique Iglesias and "I can be your hero baby". XD

I don't recall anything, but my attention during every Jack-centric scene is always low.

If you analyze the scene, everything is a little absurd/cartoonish, just the simple fact that the van has gas and a working engine after all those years in the jungle. But if Patchy can survive an harpoon stuck in the middle of his chest, Tom & co. can not hear Hurley approaching at full speed.

I honestly hate those cartoonish moments as well as all the meta-jokes they often make on Lost. It takes something away from my enjoyment of dramatic scenes.
For example Shannon's comment about Kate's two boyfriends annoyed me because I felt mocked for being interested in the aspect of the show the writers make fun of.

ITA. But those things give me more motivations to insult their weird decisions, lol. Another thing I don't know how to feel about is how much you need to work to get the clues on the show, so only the internet fans can keep up with all of them (scenes to be checked frame by frame, whispers you need to be an audio expeert to analyze, anagrams, easter eggs...)

They had to give Hurley something to do for the finale.

Wasn't there a spoiler saying he'd have an important part in the finale.
There were speculations about him possibly being a mole, a traitor, snake in tha mailbox... but he ended up driving the van.
Sure, the scene was funny and memorable for most fans but talk about exaggerating.

BTW, he's fat.

Is it?

The writers probably don't agree with you because they sure like to point it out as often as possible.

All they know to do for Hurley is have him say , "Dude". Last year, he was on the list only because he would have just sat on the beach with Claire , if he wasn't on the trip to the other side of the island.

And when you actually think about it, for the Others to pick Hurley as the messanger didn't really seem logical.

Why, you wonder? Because he's fat.
