I eat cakes. I don't memorize their names.

Do you have a face for the role?
I'd prefer a brunette. I don't want another blonde. The description suggests she's pretty sweet and kind so I immediately think of someone with curls. I don't know why. I don't have anyone specific in mind.
It surprises me that so many people had some names on their mind.

I'll post some extracts from old interviews which make me think Jack and Kate are Adam and Eve:

I found the transcript of an interview with David Fury in the April 30 2005 Australian TV Week. It was posted on the Fuse in this thread: The Fuselage

Quote:
Theory: The two skeletons in the cave are aviator Amelia Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan.
David Fury: Wow. Wow, that's a wonderful theory. No, that's not the intent.

Theory: The two skeletons in the cave are Jack and Kate.
DF: Who knows what's possible on the island? There was something that was cut from the episode I did in which Sayid was captured by the French woman Rousseau, and tortured. She said she was with a science team, that she had come from a research vessel. There was a line that was cut from an earlier draft where he said, " What were you studying?" and she said "Time." If you think about that, suddenly you say that's Jack and Kate in the cave.

Theory: Walt's dog, Vincent, is the reincarnation of Walt's dead mother.
DF: No, that's kind of crazy. That one I swear to you could never happen.

Theory: The island is a floating island. It floated into the Arctic, which explaind the polar bear.
DF: Hey, you know what, it does make sense within the framework of what we think the island is. That one is a very definite possibility.

Theory: Claire's baby is the spawn of Satan.
DF: Well, that's certainly up for grabs. There's definitely something significant about Claire's baby.; enough for some psychic to tell her she needs to raise it herself or something terrible will happen.

Theory: Kate's father is Locke. The hint: Kate says she used to go tracking with her father.
DF: Oh, that's really interesting...and wrong. Boy, that would be interesting, but no, that's not the case."

From an interview for EW, I think. It was made in April 2005. Found it here: The Fuselage
Quote:
Burning question Early on, Jack found some skeletons and a pouch containing black-and-white rocks. Explain. ''The black-and-white stones have been a recurring theme in the show,'' says executive producer Damon Lindelof (e.g., Locke's favorite board game, backgammon, and the mysterious Black Rock). ''We know who those skeletons are, what their story was, and what they were doing with those stones. But that's a question we won't be answering this season.''

This is from an EW interview which was done in February 2007.
Lost (Season 3) | The Isle Files | Lost | The Q&A | TV | Entertainment Weekly

Quote:
What is the meaning or significance of the two skeletons that Jack and Kate found in the cave of season 1?
CUSE: The answer to that question goes to the nature of the timeline of the island. We don't want to say too much about it, but there are a couple Easter eggs embedded in [the Feb. 7 episode], one of which is an anagram that actually sheds some light on the skeletons and hints at a larger mythological mystery that will start to unfold later in the season.
LINDELOF: There were certain things we knew from the very beginning. Independent of ever knowing when the end was going to be, we knew what it was going to be, and we wanted to start setting it up as early as season 1, or else people would think that we were making it up as we were going along. So the skeletons are the living — or, I guess, slowly decomposing — proof of that. When all is said and done, people are going to point to the skeletons and say, ''That is proof that from the very beginning, they always knew that they were going to do this.''

That name is ridiculous. I can't think of a nicer way to put it.

I would like a brunette too, but with straight hair, maybe.
How about Keri Russel?

You really have a masochistic side.

I remember all of those interviews and there is not point in denying they really make the theory solid. As I said, that would explain why no matter I painful to watch Jack and Kate are, they have never given up on pimping their bond, and the "future" is introduced through them.
It's a consolation, somehow, to know it has to be Jate but not for romantic reasons.

Funny you should mention her.
I was thinking about Carla Gugino even though she doesn't exactly fit the role (age, maybe even physical appearence-she's maybe too sexy, she seems strong and tough but can also pull off vulnerable and emotional). Still I think she would've been great on Lost. I think she would've been great as Ana Lucia.
Sawyer and any character she'd play would look nice.

She was in Bon Jovi's "Always" spot with Keri Russel.
I thought about Keri as cake-name character. She seems to fit.

I can't be optimistic for more than 5 minutes.
The grand theory is cracked years in advance?

I've watched that video a million times years ago and never recognized the dark haired girl as her, while I did it immediately with Keri Russel.

Seriously. They've been more secretive about Jacob and the freakin' 4-toes statue. Maybe there is a chance the skeletons are the proof of the time travelling/multiple dimensions thing, but not in the simple way we think? Because the Jack&Kate = skeletons idea has been around all the boards. Wouldn't they try to dodge it instead of answering fans' questions about it?

But they only answered those questions pretty early on when the show began and we had no idea about the "time" theories. Even the EW interview was around the time when FBYE ep was supposed to air. That's when they just began revealing the whole time thing.
"Kind of ultiate relationship" was also aimed in the Adam and Eve direction.

A hint that A&E are alive now.

Some think Desmond and Penny are skeletons, but I think they weren't even planned when Javi and Damon made those 2005 interviews. Even if they did they couldn't have been A&E since Desmond wasn't supposed to be a regular.

Well, "living proof" is a common expression I think, maybe the line was only supposed to sound funny and smart playing with two opposite idea. I agree on the TV Guide comment, though.

The skeletons are either Jack and Kate or some Dharma people we have to meet/recognize yet, unless they've changed their plans (it's not like that would be the first time). But the fact that after three seasons the S3 finale, such a milestone for the series, features only Jack and Kate from the Losties is very telling and it hit me.

I'm going to run with my friend. If I come back alive, see you later.

We haven't sent any questions for Kristin's chat.

Tater Top Awards should be announced tonight, you know, legally.

D'OH!
I totally forgot today!
I'll write to Ausiello tomorrow, though.
Are we sticking to the old plan, you ask about EM and I about MF?

I still think opening the voting in August isn't a smart move. Unlike me, other people have a life and the habit to go on vacation these days.

Okay. What do I ask about EM? Something about her or Juliet character?
I might send another question about Champignon (will she appear in FF or on the island ?).

I agree with you. It's really stupid.
People were excited, overwhelmed and interested in their favourites 2 months ago. They've cooled off by now if they are sane.
It would've made more sense to put it all off for September then, when the talk about TV begings and more fols starts going online again.

Love the Champignon question. I would try to play with Ausiello's love for Juliet. Ask him if EM is the person some rumors say is having issues with the rest of the cast, because you're scared it could affect her character's storylines/amount of screentime.

September would've been better. Also for Lost, putting its name in the poll along with all the other shows that are coming back in the fall, another way to give Sawyer & co. a little publicity during the long hiatus.

In the end, it's always up to us, the obsessed, to save the day.

I'm afraid he might not answer the question if I ask about rumours. I bet he'd know it's Kristin's gossip I'm talking about. How about something about most of the Others being killed, new people coming and taking over the stage. Where does that leave Juliet?

We'll get cured one day. Maybe even soon.
I think this season could really make me stay or run away. If I start reading too many spoilers I don't like I'm gone.

That's clever.

I'm totally clueless about how to formulate a question about MF.

S4 may be the turning point (for good or bad) for me too. The way they'll handle and write "dark Sawyer" will play a huge role.

My favourite Lost boy was such a mess in the flashforward. Michael, tell me he'll make some good decisions as the caataways' leader in season 4.

Yes, it will. No more ping-pong playing and book-reading scenes. We want juicy stuff.

If they write it well, it could be one hell of an amazing ride. So much character analysis and development.

This is the only thing from Kristin's chat relevant for us:

Quote:
Allison in Seattle: When does Tater Tops voting begin?
Tomorrow is Tater Tops Tuesday, so get your clicking fingers ready!
Watch with Kristin - Spoiler Chat: Get a Scoop of Heroes, Betty and Love

Good thing we didn't bother sending any questions.

ETA: Oops, ther is one Lost question.
Spoiler:
Rosie in Houghton, Michigan: Have you heard anything about Peter Stormare and/or Forest Whitaker appearing on Lost this season?
Interestingly, Peter and Forest have the same manager. We heard the same rumors you did and asked if either of those guys would be appearing on Lost this season. The management company came back with "not that we know of." That doesn't mean they're not working on a deal for one or both of them to be on Lost. But if it is true, it sounds like nothing is certain.
