It looks like it. Kristin said she'd announce them from her honeymoon and one of her girls mentioned them after the Emmys. I thought they would be ready soon, but we still have nothing.

I also think it's very likely we'll see Clementine and Cassidy again. They were too heavily featured in season 3 just to be dropped. The aactress seems to be available after Deadwood cancellation.
Cassidy has ben a closed chapter for me ever since "I Never" scene, but I still think the writers will try to complicate that storyline.

You could be right. If Sawyer is between the characters who made it to the mainland, Cassidy and Clem are the easiest storyline to bring up. Think about the wonderful things they could write bringing the exs in the triangle.

Maybe they think the audience is convinced Sawyer is Kate's "he", but shock, Sawyer is with C&C.

It would be more realistic for him to end up alone, but being in touch with Clementine. I just cannot see him committing himself to a woman he doesn't love.

That's why I thought they could have post-poned the voting to September, but it's too much time if Kristin is back in the first week of August.

I still can't picture Sawyer getting together a second time with Cassidy, after everything that has happened between them. Although, they kinda showed us that she did love him, in LB. But like you pointed out, the key fact is that Kate is "the one" for Sawyer, the first woman he really fell in love. With Cassidy, he was able to finish it and hold back the feelings that probably were starting to blossom, with Kate he couldn't. I can't see him "settling" with another woman, even if she's the mother of his daughter. Maybe I'm cruel to want him alone, but I think its a storyline/ending a lot more in character for him.
About the other scenario (Sawyer dying) --> denial mode full on, sorry.

It's no secret I always expect the worst so I'll go with Sayid and Sawyer. Both these option are pretty unconvincing if you ask me, but it didn't stop them before.

Well, they threw away their loyalty to the character with Sayid with the ILY to Shannon, IMO, so who knows. I can't really picture Sawyer flirting/getting close to someone else in S4... if they go there they're insane. At this point Juliet makes more sense, really.
