| Obsessed Fan | A picture doesn't matter if you've already won tons of awards and are very well-known to almost anybody like a Glenn Close or Kiefer Sutherland. But a photo could possibly be beneficial if people might need to recognize you from that rather than your name. That just might be the thing that dooms somebody like January Jones, whose performance on Mad Men was very buzzed about but sadly must rely on the fact that people match her up with her character's name and description. | Elite Fan  | I read about the importance of the picture two years ago I think, probably on The Envelope site, too, but I honestly don't remember what was said, and if it was just a matter of recognizing the actor or, also, of people getting pissed that you couldn't even take the time to find a photo to add to your submission. Not to sound mean, but I must say I don't get why an actor wouldn't add a photo - the Emmy awards are a pretty big deal, can't you spend some time in checking what you or your agent are sending out and make sure you have everything? __________________ | |||

| Obsessed Fan | It's actually the opposite for me. When I hit an empty box that says "No picture submitted" while browsing the photos I immediately read the text to see which actor is missing. I would actually think that could be beneficial to some, but I guess no voter will log on to the internet and google January Jones, Elizabeth Mitchell or T.R. Knight if they don't recognize those names. Quote:

| Obsessed Fan | Why is Connie Briton in the supporting actress category? She's a lead on FNL and has a much bigger chance at a nomination in that category. Stupid stupid move.  I still remember that Michael Emerson didn't have a picture either last year, but it obviously did not hurt him. I think it's nice to know that whoever does the work to submit him has not made the same mistake twice. | |||
