I believe there is some filming planned in Rajasthan, but I'm not sure about the exact location/area.

I think they should go to India but only briefly. The scenes they were preparing and filming in Vancouver this week are actually set in India - some photos here. They even glued some leaves on trees to make them look like palm trees.

Maybe they go to India just to get some authentic shots and make it all more believable.
