I think the thing with the ASP finally making a movie out of GG was an april fools joke from Ausiello. I only read it today because I was ignoring Ausiello before because of not wanting to be spoiled for Lost

I didn't hear about the movie recently, but way back after the series had just ended, and thought it was a real project (at least, in theory).

I admit I wasn't a big fan of the last few seasons, but I think a lot of fans would like a bigger conclusions for the series and the movie could offer that.

Most of people hated second half of s6 and s7. But if you're an LC fan then you had to love it

In GG I wasn't a shipper when it came to Lorelai, I knew Lorelai and Luke would end up together anyway.

I loved Luke, but I didn't hate Christopher.

I have a thing for "doomed" ships because the only pairing I can say I shipped in GG was Rory/Jess. And we all know how that couple was handled after S3.

I have a couple of friends who liked L/C, I guess it was the whole "first love" appeal.

But they really ruined what good was left in the L/C story when they made Lorelai sleep with Christopher the way she did... I still have in mind her face while she was laying in bed. I felt for her in that instant, but it's also true that she was the one doing that to herself, going to Christopher's house.

I think it's 75 - 25 when it comes to shipping LL and LC, so yeah there are people who love them. LL have more hard core fans though.
First love and true love are two totally different things

I adore Lorelai but she screwed up big time in 6.22. I lost respect for her. She acted like a 15 year old in s7, but we got RealLorelai back in the end.

That's true, but I understand why many fans complained that they bought things back "on track" too late in the last season. LL fans got to see Lorelai and Christopher eloping and her leading him on for many episodes, and no L/L wedding. I understand how that might've felt "unfair", somehow, after waiting for it for so much time.
