That's a nice idea. I'm sure you'll start working on details soon enough.

You mean, go around and steal tips and ideas from the fans who have already done it, to adapt them for our project? Yeah, I can do that.

We have to see how many people might be interested, first .

It would be cute to do something special for a milestone like that, and we have 1 year to plan something.

I think its an excellent idea , it would be a great time to do it as its a special birthday for him next year. Other boards have done similar so we could certainly take some ideas from them.

I'll take a look around.

I think the only problem is in the final step of the operation - we should have someone at the end of the "chain" who would accept the bother to be the destination of the single cards/birthday thingies, put them together and make sure they arrive to the Hawaiian studios.

I'll put a link to this discussion in the News thread, otherwise I doubt many people will read there.

Nobody wants to be reminded it's their 40th birthday.

Hmm, well, I hadn't thought about that aspect. Thanks for the cold shower.

Really, it's true! If you think 30 is bad, 40 is the worse. People start looking at you funny, like you've grown an extra arm or something. You don't fit the advertising demos anymore. Your car insurance goes down but your life insurance go up. You stop getting dates. Your dog starts peeing on your shoes. While you're wearing them. Really!

I refuse to believe it's that bad.

okay, instead of the dog peeing on you, your cat starts coughing up hairballs on your lap.

I've never owned a cat (or any other pet) so I have no idea what hairballs look like. And I'm glad for that.

If 40 sucks so much, maybe we could let Josh know that we will love him even if he has turned the apocalyptic corner.

Maybe we could say we were celebrating 100,000 posts on the board and realised we'd never sent him anything and seeing as its almost his birthday now is a great time. That way we don't have to make it all about him being 40 .

If only my friend whose going to Hawaii was going a couple of months earlier; he could have hand delivered the package to the studio!

I think turning 50 is the depressing one. It's all downhill from there. Better start checking out your burial plot.

I say one must start to worry only when they turn 75 and don't recognize their grandchildren anymore.

So the plan is to play casual?
