Josh in Battle of the Year: The Dream Team #2: "I took that dream and put it in my pocket." -Josh

The movie, a music-themed drama based on the award-winning documentary Planet B-Boy, "is about an all-star American b-boy crew training to compete in France at the Battle of the Year (BOTY) International Championships. After a decade of defeat, the crew and their coach must go up against the best and greatest b-boys in the world: the Koreans, the Russians and the French who have dominated the original American dance form for the last 10 years."

Brin Hill and Chris Parker wrote the script
Beau Flynn, Tripp Vinson and Amy Lo are producing the project for Screen Gems
Benson Lee is directing
Cast includes: Josh Holloway, Laz Alonso, Josh Peck, Caity Lotz and Chris Brown

Production began on late October 2011. Following a brief shoot in Los Angeles, the movie will continue filming in Montpellier, France.

The film's US release date is set for 13th September 2013.

Thank you Julie and it doesn't matter that this thread has new title and the old one has old title

You're welcome, guys!

I love Josh's accent so much.
I hope Josh comes to the UK in February to promote the movie.

If anyone finds it easier to watch/rewatch/bookmark the conference video over at YouTube, it's been uploaded over there, too:

I've seen the choreographer next to Josh before. He used to be a judge on one of those dancing shows.

Dave Scott?

I watched a quick interview with Laz Alonso today and they asked him how it was to reunite with Chris Brown on the big screen for Battle of the Year. I knew they had starred together in "Stomp the Yard", which was also music/dance related, but I completely missed that both of them also were in the comedy "This Christmas".
Of course Sony keeps pushing CB in their movies because they own the label producing his music, but I'm tempted to check out either of those films and see if he has any acting talent at all or it's just done to secure him extra publicity for the albums.

Yeah, Dave Scott.

I've seen This Christmas. Acting is not Chris Brown's forte.

Why doesn't that surprise me at all.

I'm checking the movie's credits again because I keep trying to find a connection between Josh and this show. And I keep failing.
Thanks for those!
They look great, especially the one you picked as your new avatar.

Yes, that pic is great! I've decided to post it in the Precious Appreciation Thread because of the stroking of the hair!

Benson Lee posted a screenshot of the movie on Facebook the other day, which only features the b-boys "in action" on stage, so perhaps he'll upload a few more "previews" in the upcoming weeks/months, until the official promotional material starts floating around.
