Another way to keep Frank in the story is to have him help/team up with Desmond. He could be separated from Penny again (afterall, the actress isn't available next year, I've heard, while I think we'll see a lot of Desmond).

Unbelievable, right? What actor in their mind would put the plans for their career above the chance to take part on the best. show. evah.?

Is a bit sad and anticlimatic that Des and Penny will be separated again, though, but it works well in the Ben VS Widmore storyline.

What i wonder is how will Penny "disappear" for the time being, perhaps her father will take her some place he think safe, conscious of Ben's threat?
It seems a too old-fashioned plot, though. lol

What seems pretty obvious is that Ben will want Sayid to take out Penny a la Elsa. Without sleeping with her though.

You never know, in his latest interview Naveen has said that he would like to see Sayid in a romance in S5, and Sawyer won't be there to keep the original triangle alive next season, so...

Jokes aside, the whole Ben/Sayid/Desmond/Penny thing could make for some great drama, with Sayid conflicted. I wonder if Penny will be what will make him start to question Ben and his plans, and ask for more information.

Sayid doesn't need another romance for the remainder of the series. He's quite unlucky with women. And it's unfortunate considering he's so damn hot in the future with that lovely hair all straightened and made for orgasmic pulling.

I think it might. Sayid knows who Penny is and what she means to Desmond. He might've lost his soul when he joined up with Ben, but taking her life is not something I'd think he do. And we've yet to see Sayid refuse to carry out a hit on Ben's list. His reluctance should be an interesting development.
