I agree with almost every criticism of the show this season, yet I still think it's been pretty enjoyable with the exception of a few crappy episodes.

My biggest grievance has been the non-existent storyline for Sawyer. And if the finale doesn't set something up for s5, I'll be sorely disappointed.

I think the season started in a very good way, with The Beginning Of The End, Confirmed Dead and The Economist. After those, with the exception of The Shape Of Things To Come and the first part of the finale, I can't say I've been satisfied with any of other episodes.

I don't know if the finale will give us an indication of what's going to happen on the island next season. I'll be surprised if it's not all about Jack, the O6 and Ben once again.
We might have to wait the S5 premiere even to find out what exactly has happened to the Losties on the island.

This O6 hoopla is really getting on my last frakking nerve. We care about the island and who's there. That's what I want to see.

What I hope is that Josh was right saying the Island is still the main character. If in the finale we see Desmond on mainland too, I'll start to get worried.

I've been hating the "Losties on mainland" storyline since the S3 finale, because it's another group separation that will advantage some and put some others in the shadow, because they have 17 episodes and two major sets to take care of.

TPTB still doesn't get that the show works better as an ensemble. Not putting the spotlight on a few and ignoring the others until you're ready for them.

It's annoying.

That's something they've been doing since S2, if they haven't gotten how much of a bad idea it is by now, they never will. And they can't fix now something so big as the whole rescue business.

I'm desperately hoping s5 will be different. I don't want to see the cast apart for long nor the island becoming secondary to the mainland.

I was optimistic until I saw Ben on mainland. And the latest news aren't helping. I have to see how the finale plays out before say anything though.
They've made this show a battle between Ben and Widmore, and they're off the island.

Josh being certain the island is still the main character is reassuring though. I'm clutching onto that like Jack and his booze.

I'm waiting to have the "list" of characters left on the island.

If you see someone clinging to Desmond's leg and begging him in the finale, it's me trying to keep him behind.
