What Jack does or doesn't means nothing to me. If he screws up their relationship, it's not the something I'm happy about. He's irrelevant to me. Kate's feelings are what matters. Quote:

| Elite Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I honestly don't know how to take Kate's line in the last scene. If I have to say what "concerned" me the most is the casual tone she had on the phone with "Noreen". If she was on the phone with Cassidy, and those visits are her only link left to feel connected to Sawyer, the man she's still in love with, wouldn't she be less... casual, when Jack arrives and finds her on the phone? Or maybe she was simply acting incredibly casual. I guess we have to wait how the S/K separation plays out and what this promise is all about. If Sawyer's is only a "ghost" on Jack's mind fueling his insecurities and a resolved/settled issue for Kate, please let their separation in the finale be a definitive, clear, goodbye not only between them but to whatever they have had and stick patching things up with Jate. I really don't get why with only 2 seasons left they can't make Kate's feelings things, still keeping the tension high about if and when she'll get her happy ending with the man she loves, whoever he is. __________________ "Audiences are a lot smarter than studios give them credit for. | Master Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I watched the episode, spent all the "Jate" scenes either going "wrong" or checking my email whilst it played in the background. They could have both of them wandering around naked etc (sorry for the image) and it would still not cause any chemistry or a romantic vibe to their scenes; it does not work and will never do so. What Hurley said "we're all dead" or something along those lines and both Jack and Claire seeing their dad made the episode have a rather eerie tone; which reminds me I wish they would have done a storyline where they find out they're half-siblings already. I really like all the new characters and the bit where Jin confronted Charlotte about being able to speak the language, I had noticed she'd smiled when he and Sun had been talking about Daniel liking her so it was good to see that explained and not just left randomly. On another note, and this may have been touched on already on this thread (apologies - I don't have time to read everything right now) but wasn't it odd how that woman had no reaction at all when Jack said he and Kate had got engaged? She didn't bat an eyelid let alone congratulate him; perhaps I'm reading into things too much but it was something that I couldn't help but notice. Sawyer did pretty much the same as last week but at least it was him being a hero, he's really come to care for Claire and Aaron and it was rather sweet to watch until she disappeared . I'm almost certain what Kate was doing for him was checking on Clementine and they didn't specify whether he was dead or alive just that he didn't leave the island... a lot more to be found out there.__________________ Claire: You know, You're always trying to break up with me, and we're not even together. ![]() It's like they tried to create some sexual chemistry and a sense of intimacy by having Kate walk around the house withouth her pants and in see-through shirts. Even their kisses seemed fake. Was there even tongue? She kept biting his lower lip. ![]() What I find strange is the lack of media interest in Jack and Kate's life. Shouldn't the paparazzin and joutnalist still be running around after them? Another thing - why was the airport meeting in season 3 finale so clandestine? ![]() They are famous, they were publically living together and ready to get married. Why would anyone find it suspicious if they met at some decent hour in a public place? What am I missing? ![]() I agree with you Louise. Sawyer's story has been pretty much the same as last week. I love the protective side of him, but I want more for him. The shot of him holding Aaron in the jungle and Kate holding the boy after the fight with Jack might suggest that Sawyer will be the one responsible for her ending up with Claire's son. Fran: Quote:

I'm serious when I say that they've made Kate seem like a bipolar character - fans, shippers to be precise, view her as two completely different people. Is "the real Kate" the one playing house with Jack, having a family, basically a good person she always wanted to be. Or is "the real Kate" the passionate, wild and tormented one when she's with Sawyer? The problem is these two versions never seem to co-exist, what we see is either one or the other. I don't find it complex, but rather frustrating. Not only will one ship base inevitably end up being disappointed when she finally chooses one guy, but their whole perception or understanding of Kate and her feelings might become completely wrong. They've been teasing both sides for 4 years now. If they care even one bit about their shipping fans', a decent thing to do would be to not let them on any longer. ![]()

It's four years into this show and we're still asking, who the frak is Kate? That's not a good sign.__________________

| Final ratings for this episode 10.73 million viewers , which has to be the lowest ever for a first run episode and a 4.7 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic. The 4.7 is the second lowest of the year. I know that there will be at least 3 million more viewers added when the number of people with DVR's that view the episode within a week is added , but they had to expect bigger numbers watching it live. __________________ Maria icon by Satine lilly | |||

But why would they pay based on DVR usage if viewers skip ads? Maybe they pay less, but that should affect the budget. Do you have the final results for all the episodes this season and maybe even the first 3 seasons? ![]()

| This episode makes some of the things much more confusing than they already were for me. Why did in the season premiere Hurley say he shouldn't have gone with Locke? Was it just to make the camp splitting in two parts more interesting? So far nothing's come of it - they are all wrong. The island doesn't want Jack to leave so it gives him appenicitis. The island doesn't want Michael to kill himself so it defies the laws of physics. The island says Jack (and/or Kate) are not supposed to raise Aaron but it (in the form of Christian/Jacob) takes the kid away from his mother, who apparently is supposed to raise him, and directly causes him to leave the island. I don't get it. ![]() The island doesn't make sense. | |||

Lost still does huge numbers in the demographics that advertisers love like the 18-34 male , 18-34 female and the general viewers age 18-49. This year Lost will be close to the top of what the network charges advertisers for hour long dramas. I think Grey's Anatomy is the only drama that charges more for commercial time. I have the results for this season. It will be the lowest numbers of the series because more and more people are DVRing and not watching the show live. It's that way with every television show. date ---title -----------------------viewers in Millions --rating in 18-49 demographic 01/31/08 Beginning of End --- 16.14 Million --- 6.7 02/07/08 Confirmed Dead --- 15.29 Million --- 6.5 02/14/08 The Economist --- 13.76 Million --- 5.8 02/21/08 Egg town ------- 13.65 Million --- 5.7 02/28/08 Constant ------ 12.89 Million --- 5.4 03/06/08 Other Woman - 13.01 Million --- 5.4 03/13/08 Ji Yeon -------12.08 Million ---4.9 3/20 Kevin Johnson---11.46 Million --- 4.6 4/24 Shape of things 12.08 Million --- 5.3 5/01 Something-----10.73 million --- 4.7 __________________ Maria icon by Satine lilly

These numbers are quite different from those we get soon after the episode airs, especially the 18-49 demographic results. Grey's Anatomy probably does very well with female viewers so that should've been good for the triangle related episodes on Lost. I guess it didn't really work. But I have no idea what I'm talking about. It seems that nowdAys Lost fans are convinced that ratings for particular episode is actually a reflection of how good/bad the previous one was. I don't think that's true, but maybe I'm wrong.
