Totally!! Sawyer totally rocked tonight and I loved how protective he was of Claire and Aaron :_in_love:

This episode sucked major balls. Jatefest aside, the jungle scenes with Sawyer/Claire/Miles was more of the same from last week with Sawyer being all protective and taking care of Claire and the baby. Nothing exciting happened out there. They just ran into Frank. Oh, and Claire goes missing. Like we've never seen THAT before.

But I did like the Jin/Charlotte scene. He totally pawned that bitch.

Oh, and Dan snapped at her.

Watched the episode, after a couple of failed attempts (my connection lets me down always when it shouldn't).

So, hmmm, I don't know where to start.
This episode felt... pointless? I mean, aside from the romantic aspect, it only told us once again that it was very very wrong for the O6 to leave, and touched the Jack/Christian/Claire/Aaron storyline. Jack isn't supposed to raise Aaron - message delivered to Jack by Charlie, through Hurley.

The flashforward part: it takes place after the events of Eggtown, so it's after the trial. Jack has changed his mind about Kate's offer - they're living together now, Kate tells Jack how much she loves to see him with the baby, flirty/sexy domestic scenes (Kate is showed in underwear around the house almost all the time, lol, not to mention the first scene of them kissing in the shower). After Jack goes to see Hurley and listens to Charlie's message, he goes back home, asks Kate if he's good at "this" (being a father, having a family...), Kate says yes. Jack asks her to marry him, she cries and says Yes two or three times. After that, he's visited by Christian at the hospital, and that's when he starts taking the first pills. Final scene: big J/K fight. He comes home from work earlier, gets drunk, Kate was out to "run some errands" but Jack wants to know where she was and with who she was. She begs him to let it go, he doesn't. Kate says she was doing something "for him, for Sawyer". She made him a promise, and she didn't tell Jack because it doesn't concern them, and she thought Sawyer wouldn't want her to say it. Jack starts yelling, tells her Sawyer isn't there, he is, Sawyer chose to stay, he's the one who saved her. Kate cries, try to reason with him, tells him she doesn't want him around her son in that state. Jack snaps at her yelling that Aaron isn't even related to her. The kid is in the doorway, Kate goes to pick him up, still crying, while Jack walks off.

On island: they have to operate on Jack's appendicitis, Juliet takes charge and sends Sun, Jin, Charlotte and Daniel to grab the necessary for the surgery. Thanks to that, we finds out that: Daniel fancies Charlotte, Charlotte speaks Korean and Jin tells her he will break Daniel's fingers one by one if she keeps lying and doesn't provide a seat on the elicopter for Sun. They resolve Jacket for good, with Juliet telling Kate that Jack kissed her, but she thinks it was only to prove to himself that he doesn't love Kate. Jack was listening, he doesn't add anything once Kate leaves and Juliet call him on how he's faking to be unconscious but heard everything. The put they final word on Karl and Danielle's dead with Miles finding their buried bodies.

Sawyer: as Crystal said, it was basically a repeat of last week - Sawyer being super protective of Claire. They're trekking through the jungle, stumble upon Frank and Keamy and the other military guys, Frank saves them somehow distracting Keamy while Miles, Sawyer and Claire hide. At the end of the episode, after Claire has walked off through the jungle following a vision of Christian holding Aaron while the others slept, Sawyer goes looking for her but only finds Aaron near a tree, picks him up and starts screaming for Claire in a pretty scared/desperate way, before the screen goes to black.

The cool part: I totally think the promise Kate made to Sawyer before leaving is to check on Clementine, and that's where she was the afternoon when Jack got home and didn't find her there. Which rocks in my book because I hated the idea that they had dropped the Clementine storyline - I was sure kids and babies were too much of a recurring/important theme to ignore James' daughter, and I'm glad I was right on something, for once.

Clementine was the first thing that came to mind too. But the last person I want to see is Cassidy.

i don't hate Cassidy (nor I'm a fan) but if she comes back in the plot because of a Clementine's storyline? Bring it on. I doubt they would involve Cassidy in the whole thing too much, she's going to stay on the side while the focus is on the little girl - and I would love to see Clementine.

Cassidy to me is a bit like Kevin, missed opportunity I doubt they'll revisit in the future.

I forgot to say:
- I love the newbies;
- I love Juliet (how great she was last night? How much? Guh);
- I love Jin;
- and I love Sawyer, I melted seeing him holding Aaron, and I don't care about that kid nor about babies in general. Now though, I would like to see them moving on from the superprotective!guy storyline, wer got the point, give him more stuff to work with.

It still didn't work. They might've as well had her naked walking around the house. But that wouldn't work either.

I love protective Sawyer, but he needs to quit yelling Claire's name.

I was mysteriously missing during those scenes. The only J/K part I watched was the last scene.

Did Juliet use some kind of magical razor which stops hairs from growing? I want one.

She was even showed wearing his shirt, with Jack carrying her to the bedroom while she giggled.... and still I felt like ther scene was empty of any sexiness.

I noticed that Aaron calmed down when he first picked him up and held him to his chest, before he started yelling for Claire. Nice to see they've remembered that his voice didn't have a bad effect on the baby.

BTW, for the whole episode I had this feeling something was wrong, out of place. It wasn't Jate. Not even Jack going all Sawyer on us with that Son Of A B... and the insecurity.
It was the lack of Jack's chest hair. I lost one of my Lost constants.

I think it's body compensation. Isn't he soon going to grow Teh Beard? I guess Jack's body recycled some material just teleporting it to different zones. Shepard people are special - every week I wonder what kind of entity is Claire's hair as well.

Now, you don't laugh at this - I don't like hairy chests in men, but somehow Jack looked more "naked" without it and I was more comfortable with it than without it, lol!

He seems more toned with the hairs on his chest.

I dont get it. Why would it be about Clementine? Kate doesnt know about her (yet). What would he want her to do? Just saying "Hey" to his daughter after years? Sawyer thinks Kate is going to jail for a long time. Doesnt make the most sense to tell her to go to his daughter. I have thought it would be about some island stuff he gets to know in the finale. But after reading the Cassidy theory its the most possible favor I think. Its interesting Sawyer chose to stay. Why? If he cares about his daughter now, wouldnt he leave the island? I am so curious about it. Maybe he "chose" because he is looking for Claire and its not like "Go, I am staying and having a good time". It would annoy me if hes staying by choice without a good reason. I am not Jade oder Skate or whatever but I think Sawyer would be a better father to Aaron in the future. Jack is jealous because of Sawyer whos still on the island. I thought he would care a little bit more about Sawyer. Wouldnt be sursprised at all if he takes care of Sawyer staying on the island and lying about it now.

I exactly don't know what's the matter with Clementine, she was the first thought that crossed my mind though, because it's also connected to the whole babies/kids theme present in the episode. And Cassidy is the one connection Sawyer and Kate has shared in their pre-island lives. Maybe Kate had to deliver a letter to Sawyer's daughter?

Maybe what she promised him to do is something completely different, but Clementine is anything I could think of with the elements we have so far.

I'm wondering about Jack's line mentioning how Sawyer "chose" to stay too, and like you Katie I thought it could be because he doesn't want to leave his friends alone there. Truth is, he chose to live on the island when he went with Team Locke to Otherville, but the conditions now are pretty different.

If Sawyer made Kate promise to do something for him on mailand, I guess they had their goodbye and she and Jack know that he wanted to stay, otherwise there wouldn't be the chance to talk about the favor with her.

It's all really confusing, and I'm sure it won't be cleared up before the last hour of the finale, so we have to wait almost a month.

I do think Sawyer's sudden protectiveness towards Claire and Aaron isn't accidental, especially with a flashforward talking about how Aaron can't be "raised by another".
What I don't understand is why Christian appeared to Claire and somehow managed to separate her from Aaron, when in the future his presence and Charlie's message seem to be telling Jack how Aaron being there with him and Kate, off the island and away from his mother, is wrong.
