The "warm" welcome they reserved to the new girl is hilarious, with all those - *crickets* - pauses.
I wasn't expecting Daniel to be such a nervous guy, in the trailers aired so far they managed to put scenes in which he said his lines with a pretty secure voice.

Both the Canadian and ABC promo for next week basically don't show anything new.

I've just watched the sneak peeks and, don't hate me, but I like both Charlotte and Daniel. He seems quirky in a suspicious, unsettling kind of way. She looked pretty enthusiastic to be there and has a British accent.

I don't know if Champignon's fangirl attitude and Daniel's odd behaviour are just an act or what. Thing is, I can't hate them after just as couple of trailers and clips, but at the same time I can't even feel anything good towards them, they're still "foreign" to me and I can't help but see them as a threat to the storylines and screentime given to the characters I've grown attached to, right at this moment.
I'll have to watch more of them to express a proper opinion, for now I do what Sawyer was doing, I skeptically observe.

I was reading the spoilers and all I understood about Daniel was he was going to be twitchy.

They are going to take time away from characters. I just hope it's not James that suffers the most.

I wouldn't even mind if I was sure the story needs them... but I don't, yet, and it's not like the writers haven't made not-so-great experiments before.

It feels crazy to know the next episode will air in 7 days... for the time I'll get used to the end of the hiatus, the new one will have begun.

I get the feeling the Freighters or Other Others are just another way to stall.

At least , Drew Goddard is writing this episode. He might give James something good.

They may cross real danger territory if they stall with only 48 episodes still ahead (correction, 47 now) and the jump of about 2 years ahead they showed in the FF.
I hope the freighter and Ben & the Others hold the keys to understand the mythology, and they'll start to put the puzzle together, finally.

I promised Misty to give a chance to Champignon, but damn is hard when you don't get a good vibe from the actress since the beginning for no explicable reason. I had hopes in only one of the newcomers, but the way he presented himself in the promo pics for this episode isn't promising.

Goddard is the writer of Outlaws and The Glass Ballerina, and also Desmond's 3x08 episode. Let's be hopeful (and try to forget that he co-wrote The Man from Tallahassee, which sure was good with Locke's backstory, but the on-island scenes...)

I fear instead that they'll have to hurry and sacrifice something about the characters and the interpersonal interactions to cover everything. Hope I'm wrong and that the fact they have a already defined number of episodes will bring them to plan wisely.

I think in next episode the 2 groups created in the finale will stay completely separated, so be prepared for no skate at all. But hopefully there will be enough James.

And he's interacting with nothing less then Ben and Locke. I wonder what makes James give Locke the super death glare.
The bit with Ben is going to be interesting too, he has proved in yesterday night episode how well he knows how to hit someone where it hurts.
