I think it's the internet connection because I'm using the same laptop right now in the university and everything works fine...
And you have this problem only with FanForum, right?
Tonight I will ask for some general tips, I don't know a lot about the technical part of these things so I'm not very useful myself.

Joining forces? We could try that. You'll cover the dialogues and the sweet parts, I will provide material for the arguments and the perviness.

I'm sure she would've ignored him for a day or two because she would be confused and unsure if that's really happening... and then he'd snap again and yell at her
Probably, and in the end Juliet would've had to face him and try make the point of where things stood between them.
I don't know if they agreed it would be better to forget about "the slip", not complicate things and move on, only to slowly realize that it's not really an option if they keep being around each other that much, or if the first slip was enough to start things between them.
So many "what if"s.

uh that sounds good... i think I'm good with sweet parts ... we'll see about that... but it seems harder to write alone...

I think she would tell him to forget about it and they would both agree it was nothing... and then when they have to live with each other again they would notice that it's not working out and the attraction is just too much.
I also think that James said a lot of stupid things to her before they really got together... because he said to Kate he had a lot of growing up to do... I guess she told him openly when he was being an ass...

Oh I have no doubt that Juliet put him in front of his screw-ups every time he needed that. In that sense they're very similar - James, too, is the kind of guy who doesn't beat around the bush when sometimes rubbed him off the wrong way.
And I can picture how much not happy to stay within the Dharma rules and habits he will be at first, and he was bound to vent his frustration on the people around him.
Juliet wouldn't have any of that.
Whatever happened between them, romantically, took a while to start.

BTW... we're at page 20.

How long do you think it took them after the dock scene? I mean to me it was clear that he had thing for her... he just didn't know it ... I think it probably took them 6 months to a year to notice that something about the other is nice... and then after a year they finally admitted that they liked each other... to really fall in love and say it... I think that took them another 6 months ...
I really want to see that...

I didn't even notice... is it 20 already... mh... guess we have to find a new thread title and add the stuff we have for the OP

Just doing what I'm supposed to do as a mod.
And yeah, personally I hate the idea of FF kicking you out, you don't do that to my friends, evil board.

My guess would be around a year, too. Let's not forget that Juliet has been burnt by putting her trust and hopes in Jack just hours before the island moved in time, and Sawyer was so in love with Kate and always knew she had a thing for Jack, just like Juliet did (though, he wasn't around them to see her caring for the other man, perhaps he believed Juliet just used Jack to get off the island, I don't know if and how they might've addressed that topic).
I doubt they considered settling in their current situation, or with the people there, soon. I believe Sawyer saw a potential ally and friend in her and that's why asked her to stay, but anything romantic was miles away from his mind, same with Jules.

I had predicted we would start moving our asses at page 19, but apparently we've done even worse than that.

Do you think we'll ever get to see anything?? Or is that just history and something for us to figure out on our own? Not much screen time left to address this, I guess...

Then I'll blame your connection - someone has to pay for the troubles you're having.

I would say no, we won't see anything more, because Lindelof and Cuse in that video interview for Entertainment Weekly said they had planned to cover the 3 years on the island in LaFleur and that's it, BUT we never know what they'll do next year, for instance if they want to give a proper farewell to Juliet.

I don't know! Page 20 took me by surprise, as well.
My mind is blank on titles.
Do you think we'll hit 300 tonight or it will be tomorrow? In the second case we still have a little time.

I'm taking the day off... so I won't be back till monday... guess I leave it to you to open the new thread alone ... we can add stuff next week and you can add some of the animations you made

BTW: I got a present for you on my livejournal page... have fun

It would be great if you managed to fix it, though I have no idea why you can't access the site so I don't know how you could solve the issue, either. I'll be waiting for tips from my "bosses".

Unfortunately, Lost has made me exercise my imagination a lot in these years. Now with Sawyer/Juliet, but also with trying to guess how Juliet processed the fact that staying in the 70s meant possibly never seeing her sister again, or imagining how James felt/feels about his father and his first con, or his feelings after killing Cooper and before he decided to move on from that.
Many holes that will stay there.

I had forgotten about your trip , have a lot of fun! : You'll tell me everything about it when you're back.
I hope some of the other posters will visit in the next couple of days because if I'm left alone to work on the OP and pick a title, I don't see myself managing it.

Yeah I guess Lost does that with every character... and we just can guess what happened or what people are feeling, thinking etc.... so we have to imagine what happened ... well it keeps our mind busy, huh?

I will give you a full review and show you pics ... I'm almost jumping up and down because I'm really really excited
I hope you finish this with somebody... I want to see a partly shiny new thread when I get back

Yes, but it keeps busy our sense of frustration, too, lol.
And this show has always so little dialogue, some words after a certain situation, or some times later, could give us at least an idea of what happened, and how people processed certain things without the need to give proper scenes to it, but as I've said, Lost is mostly about action rather than conversations.

You could at least give me a last minute tip for the title! I'm lost! (no pun intended, lol). I can only think of the finale lines ("I love you so much" | "Don't leave me")

It is what I thought it would be! (my first thought was the fic, but you never know,... maybe you found a picture of Josh naked and couldn't share it on the board)
I'll read it later tonight, thanks a lot for the gift!

Frustration is good ... well sometimes... I guess it keeps us on the toes and that's what the writers want...
You're right Lost is a lot about action... I like conversations... sometimes actions just don't speak loud enough...

you're lost ... ok... well... I like these quotes... but they remind me so much of the bad stuff... don't we have another line from an article... there were so many reviews about how great James and Juliet were...
wait there was this interview on EW:
Quote:
Season 5 was a great year for the 39-year-old star, whose wise-cracking, morally ambiguous con man character completed a series-long shift to full-fledged romantic hero as he led the castaways through time travel peril and fell in love with Jughead-banging Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell).
we could do something about that... we just have to rephrase it ... Season 5 made him a full-fledged romantic hero... mh... not too good... I don't know... or we could take Josh's quote out of the interview: "We've been together. We love each other."
that's my ideas... I'm not sure if they are too good...
Quote:

Have fun with the story... now I really wish I could've gotten you a picture of naked Josh... that is sooooo much better than this fanfic ...

Ok, I gotta get going now. I hope you enjoy the weekend and I want to see a new thread on sunday night ... do something about that

How's that for rephrasing?

The problem is that it's a well known fact that sometimes actors don't know the context of their scenes, either, so you're not even 100% sure you can rely on facial expressions and similar details. I wish this show paid more attention to dialogues - I don't care if the Losties look like fools for not sitting down to discuss what the hell is going on on the island, I just care about them voicing their thoughts about personal matters.

You kidding? I read it yesterday and... helloooo Mr. Tree. It should win a Emmy for Best Guest Star.

Thanks a lot for finally creating a scenario with the crazy idea I had in mind..!

I guess the main problem with having the characters sit down and talk about their personal things is that it slows down the pace of the show... it wouldn't work... then we would have people like Dawson analyzing every bit of feeling... and I don't think we want that
