We've slipped into meta talk, because we're using the thread to discuss the thread itself, and its opening post.

I'm a master at missing stuff that's under my nose, I was sure "Nothing for nothing" was an angsty one-shot, lol.
I just saw the second chapter, I should read it tomorrow to have breand new reading material.
Today I already had your story.

Wow, thanks for the new thread! That seemed to come much faster this time

I'm sorry I can't add anything or help with the OP - I'm useless at anything to do with graphics unfortunately It sounds like you guys have good stuff planned though! I hope The Incident stuff isn't too hard to go back to though. I'm not as bad as I was when I watch it now, but the pain is definitely still there.

That fic you guys are talking about is so good! I'm so glad she decided to continue it, can't wait for the next part I also just read another really interesting fic, with a different take on the "reset" idea. It's over here if anyone wants to have a read.

No apologies! First, you're already helping partecipating to the discussion, and you can help us decide what to put in the OP, which quotes/scenes/comments.

Perhaps if I rewatched the finale scenes it would help me to deal with them in the long run... after the 24 hours of crying of the first day after the episode I chickened out on doing it again.

Well I can certainly do that! Anything S/J related to think about is always a very good thing.

It might do, yeah. I can't say much because I constantly watched the finale scenes after I saw the episode, and I think possibly having watched it so many times now has made it a bit easier. At the same time, I think time is a big help, and, since it's been so long since you first saw it, it could be a lot easier now. You'll definitely have to watch them again though - they're painful and awful to watch, but at the same time so amazing.

Hee, yes, that is a great line! There's more interaction between them in the first two chapters as well, the author is really great with the characters. And is apparently going to be writing a lot more of the story, so I'm looking forward to seeing where it's going!

ETA: That art is beautiful!

We can do it, tomorrow I plan to do those animations and try to put some pics together in a decent way, if I manage it.

Awesome!

Perhaps I should take a look to the S/J thread in the Lost section for inspiration.

I swear I can't remember when the (possible) loss of a fictional character hit me so hurt, I think never. If it had been the end of the series, it would be easier, much more easier. But seeing images from those scenes reminds me that I will most likely watch a Juliet-free Season 6 and it's a pretty depressing thought, no matter how much I try to swallow it.

That's great because IMO the S/J fanfom truly need some good multi-chaptered stories, the majority I've seen around are all one-shots and drabbles.

Wee hoo!! A new thread already! Love the title, too. Seeing all the good press and support makes me feel like I'm not crazy for loving a ship that originated in one season. "It's not just me, right? It did turn out to be pretty cool, didn't it?"

Great job on the OP, Steph.

I really don't know what storyline Sawyer will have next year, I don't even know what the final season will be about... probably the final battle between good and bad? I'm truly lost, also because good and bad have been pretty relative concepts in this show.
Sawyer was one of the "chosen ones" so I think his part will revolve around everyone else's, as you say, "the battle between good and evil." People were saying his storyline was wrapped up THIS season and expected him to die, but he didn't, so I'm guessing they have to have something planned for him. They'd be crazy not to with all the great press the character's been getting this season.

I wouldn't count Locke out yet - I think we may see the ghost of John Locke, much like Christian. I still think all those whispers are spirits of people who died on the Island, so I think Ghost!Locke will be a significant presence. I don't know what could possibly be the plan for Sayid though. If if fact they all shoot to another time with their injuries, it's highly doubtful Sayid would survive long, and we'll have his death early in the season. If things go down differently though and 815 never crashes, then Sayid is never injured (and then Juliet isn't either ).

I think Sawyer and Juliet really matched well with their personalities, I like their similarities (the no-BS attitude, the sarcasm, the realism, their "survivor" soul) and differences, like their ways to react to things - James is driven by instinct, Jules thinks everything trough.
Good catch, Fran. Those two really are the ones who see things for what they are. Jack and Kate seem to be in denial much of the time.

I don't think his storyline is finished and I'm pretty sure that he will be of importance in the last season.
Sawyer is not going anywhere... and I think there is a good reason to why he is on that island

I love the support they got and are still getting from the press because it reflects on positive publicity for the work Elizabeth and Josh have done - they are the ones who sold this relationship in only 8 episodes.
It just bothers me that some reviewers and fans have "discovered" Sawyer and Juliet and their emotional capability only now, in S5, when they were pretty amazing and showed their heart even in the past seasons.

I sure hope after the "year of Sawyer" he won't go back to stand in the background - I have that fear because with the exception of Jacob's touch, James has never been linked to the mythology before, I really don't know what direction that could take now.
I have to admit I've never really minded the lack of a mythology plot for him because some character were written pretty inconstently to fit their "destiny" and progress the plot, while Sawyer was always free from that.

You know, I still have no idea who Christian is/was. I'm not ignoring the possibility he could have been the smoke monster all along - afterall, he helped Locke get off the island, and we now know that John's destiny was to inwillingly work for Esau so the final part of the war could start.
I believe Sayid will die mostly because that's the only solution to write redemption for him at this point - even if death sure is not redemption in my book. But Lindelof said that Sayid didn't shoot little Ben to prevent him from becoming the monster he was as an adult, but driven by the emotional abuse he made him suffer in the future, and a lot of fans already want Sayid to die after shooting a kid. It is almost a Michael-type of situation.

Yep, I've always thought that Jack and kate were very similar in the "pretending" aspect. Sawyer and Juliet are able to say things like they are, and even when they lied it was never because they were looking for self-reassurance, or to wash their conscience.
Even their clinging to the life they made out for themselves in Dharmaville felt more "genuine" than the denial and delaying of the inevitable we had to watch with the O6, to me at least.

Did you think about me at the Italian restaurant?
I'm really glad you're starting to get cultivate a true social life after the first months of adjustment.

BTW, not to depress the thread, but yesterday Alex reported in another thread that "V" should start filming in August. The Lost cast goes back to set at the same time, so that doesn't make things easier whatever are their project for Juliet in S6.
