There is so much stuff on Twitter about this episode. I haven't seen the episode so I can't look through all of the stuff. There are videos of some of the cast and crew gathered together in Carlton Cuse's house. :)

A recap of the episode. I have just skimmed it because I don't want to read too many spoilers. :D

I don't want to read many spoilers either!

Apparently, the ratings weren't very good. Hopefully that's because this episode had been shown early.
Ratings: USA Network's "Colony" Disappoints |
hopefully.
Shiri's show had only 800 000 viewers when it aired but people watched it on other platforms, so every episode had over 4 million viewers (the show got a second season), so maybe that's the case with Colony too. |
Maybe! I hope a second season gets announced soon. :)

The pilot didn't do much for me, but maybe that was partly the time it took to set up the storyline. I'll probably watch again next week.

^ that is what I read from many people.

I hope you enjoy the other episodes, Chris. :)

I have seen this episode and I loved it!
There was a great contrast at the beginning with Will joking about the egg and then his panic after he dropped it. There was a sense of menace throughout the episode from then on. I love shows involving subterfuge. I enjoyed the scenes with Will travelling in secret and meeting Snyder. I also enjoyed Sarah sneaking around trying to find Will and using an opportunity to steal some insulin. Although I don't know how the hospital managed to have a supply. Maybe some medication is being kept for privileged people. The acting of everyone is excellent. It's great to see Josh in a lead role and he does a great job of conveying his emotions. I enjoy Sarah Wayne Callies' performance. The ending was a great shock, she betrayed her husband. I know that she thinks she's doing the right thing and thinking in the long term her way will work better than Will's way but Will is trying to save their missing son so it's complicated. I am instinctively on Will's side, he is a sympathetic character. I don't trust Snyder (great performance by Peter Jacobson) but it is tempting to believe him when he says he will help the family. He didn't actually say he would get the missing son back though, he just implied it, so he probably shouldn't be believed. Maybe Katie's way is best but I'm still on Will's side for the moment. :) Colony is a show where there are no clear "goodies" and "baddies" which is realistic as human beings are just trying to do their best in bad situations. It was nice to see Will putting on a loom band bracelet which was probably made by his daughter. Making loom bands was a craze in the UK a little while back. It's interesting that Josh is one of the executive producers. I still don't know what that job entails. |
