Josh took his family to a picnic in the park in the woods. They noticed a peacock near the edge of the lake. He strutted around the edge of the lake where there was a pile of leaves by the dock. He started to come towards the family, and looked at Josh with menace and curiosity. Josh stood up and looked into his eyes, and petted the peacock on his head. The peacock softly moved his head towards Josh's head and licked his cheek. Josh was surprised that the peacock was so friendly. Josh looked at the feathers on the top of the peacock's head and pushed the top of the feathers on his neck towards the back of the big neck where there was a big bruise on it. He told the warder that the bird had a bruise on his neck. The warder looked at the back of the peacock's neck and he said that he would get a vet to look at it. Suddenly the bird snapped at the warden and made a loud squawk. Everyone was startled and looked at the peacock while the bird moved away from the warder and fainted into the huge lake by the crowd of people. Everyone ran towards the peacock to see if he was OK. The warder rushed to the lake to save the peacock from drowning in the water but the peacock was sinking in the dark water
