'I have a set report today (sadly no pictures to confirm it) but there was some filming action going on @ YMCA's camp erdman (THE BARRACKS) today when i went to go to the area for a swim. I was able to see Sawyer, Locke and Hurley on set. They were filming a scene with Sawyer where he was talking to a group of kids? But here's the best part. They were filming a scene where one of the barrack houses were ON FIRE, and tons of men dressed in military uniforms and war paint and guns stormed the barracks.'

2. We learn Jack's fate: The finale introduced the flash forward and showed us Jack's (Matthew Fox) slide into alcoholism when he leaves the island. "The flash forward is part of an overall plan for the show," says Damon Lindelof, co-executive producer. "Season 4 is about who gets off the island and the fact that they need to get back. Season 5 is about why they need to get back, and season 6 is about what happens when they get back."

3. We know who survives: Season four introduced six survivors: Jack (Matthew Fox); Kate (Evangeline Lilly); Hurley (Jorge Garcia), and Sayid (Naveen Andrews). This "Oceanic 6" make it off the island, but one will die - exactly who will be revealed this season. "We've made a choice to focus on the characters that fans have loved since the beginning - Jack, Kate, Sawyer (Josh Holloway), Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Sayid and Hurley," says Lindelof.

8. More sexual tension: The love quadrangle between Jack and Kate, Kate and Sawyer, and Jack and Juliet promises delicious complications, with Jack telling Kate he loves her, Sawyer asking Kate to shack up with him on the island and Juliet saving the day for Jack.

AP: You've had other disagreements with the writers.
O'Quinn: At the end of Season 3 Locke throws a knife into Naomi's back and I said, 'This really hurts me, It's so not typical and it's so out of character and it seemed gratuitous.' I made the biggest stink I ever made with (executive producers) Damon Lindelhof and Carlton Cuse and they said, 'Look, Locke believes he was doing the right thing. His life was saved, he's been told, he's been instructed. He believes that this is the most dangerous person in the world right now and he does what he does. Do it.' I said, 'Well, you know, if I stab her in the back couldn't I at least shoot Jack in the knee or something?'

AP: What's it like working with such a large cast?
O'Quinn: One of the nice things about this cast, this size of cast, you get a new episode and you go, 'Oh great, now I get to work this little arc with Michael Emerson. We have a lot together. Or with Josh Holloway or Evangeline Lily and it's almost always a pleasure to find out who you're working with. Almost.

AP: Are there some you aren't pleased to work with?
O'Quinn: There've been some rough times but it's very familial in that way. It's like the holidays when you go, 'Oh God, uncle Bob's going to get drunk and abuse my cousin. But we'll get through it.'

- Naomi and Elsa's bracelets had no mytological purpose, they just thought giving Elsa the same bracelet would bring memories in Sayid;
- Adam and Eve, the skeletons, will be adressed but not this season;
- Episode 4x05 "deals with time travel and operates in different time periods";
- In episode 4x05, we'll find out which kind of calls the satellite phone can do and which it can't, explaining why they can't call the outside world;
- By the end of the season we will know who is in the coffin;
- The larger mythos, like "The Purge", will come back in season 5;
- NO to alternative realities, because they want the audience to invest in the story and the characters and what happens to them - that doesn't exclude time travel and bending of the space/time continuum though;
- By the end of the season, we'll know what happened since the O6 left the island/got rescued, to the point Jack and Kate meet in the airport;
- We'll see more hints to Jacob and the cabin, but that's not something that will be answered by the end of this season;
- the Orchid video showed at Comc Con is important this season;
- the mystery of Ben's list is linked to the wreckage seen at the bottom of the ocean.

- Ausiello Report: Lost Finds Post-Grey's Berth!
"According to multiple sources, ABC plans on airing this season's final five* Lost episodes on Thursdays at 10 pm/ET beginning in late April, where it will follow all-new episodes of Grey's freakin' Anatomy!"

This just in: I'm now hearing that Lost's final arc may consist of six episodes, not five. No, Team Darlton isn't making an extra episode this season. Rather, the final installment of the current run (aka Episode 8) will likely be held to kick off the final batch of five. According to my spies, Episode 7 makes for a better, more logical, break.

Julia in San Diego: Lost! I just read somewhere that Sawyer might not make it through the season. Please save me from a true panic attack and tell me Sawyer isn't going anywhere!
Yes, Sawyer's going to be killed off in episode six, and from what I understand that will be the show's last-ever mention of the character. Audiences just never warmed up to him, and the writers realized it was best to simply give his off-putting storyline to a swift, clear-cut end. (I'm kidding. Seriously now, with all the stressing going on at tvdiva@eonline.com, I worry that you guys are all gonna give yourselves aneurysms. I promise you, if Sawyer were to eventually get killed off, which I consider unlikely in the extreme, the show would at least do it Nate Fisher style—that guy is gonna be around until the end in one way or another.)

Thanks for opening the new thread and keeping us updated, Fran!

Exactly. In season two we heard about the Others and saw their bare feet, but we finally saw them only towards the end. The next season was all about them.
In season three we kept hearing about people leaving the island and finally saw Jack made it in the finale. This season was mostly about the Oceanic 6 an their lives after the rescue.
This season we've been getting hints about Widmore being the big player on the show so it will probably be clearly stated in the final episodes.

About the two groups of bad guys - what if the freighter is only Widmore's distraction plan but the really bad guys will strike when nobody's expecting them?
They've used this tactic before, with the Others - remember how they wore those ragged clothes, were barefoot, and lived in some weird village - but it was just a cover up.

Misty, until yesterday you found perfectly logical that Ben was behind the attack, although a lot of people have been speculating about Widmore. Would you have changed your mind without that post, who is coming from a person we know nothing about?

As I posted in the old thread, I'm not saying it's not possible that such a scenario may turn out to be true, but sure that post over Dark didn't give me any element I didn't have already.
I agree that S5 will probably be about what's really going on with the bad guys (the theme will be why the O6 have to go back), but at the end of S4 Ben leaves the island, it sounds crazy that Ben leaves when Widmore arrives... then what, Ben will fight Widmore's people with the O6 on mainland, while the Losties left behind will have Ben replaced by Charles to fight against? Then in S6 they'll go back to defeat Widmore on the island..?

The opening post is great, it doesn't need any changes.

I was reading a thread on the Fuselage and some people say they can see the Dharma logo on the shooter's camouflaged clothes. They are few but I'm always impressed with people who notice anything in the caps because I never see anything.

You know, this kind of scenario wouldn't really surprise me.

I hope you're being honest, and not sweet, polite, and mesmerized by my charm as usual when you say everything is ok.
I spent 5 minutes staring at pic and animation and couldn't spot a thing, d'oh.
I'll go checking again.
Well, after what I've seen so far, anything is possible... but it would bring the use of the repeatitio technique to a new level.

If Widmore arrives with a second group, then the O6 leave with the "regular" freighter guys?
Me neither, anyway, are we sure there will be a spoiler chat tonight, even if Kristin is already on her way to Hawaii?

I can be all those things at the same time.

I don't see anything either.

How they leave is probably going to be the final, surprising twist.
Maybe Ben and the O6 will somehow get away from the really bad guys (perhaps thanks to volcano) and manage to escape. He and Sayid will try to kill off Widmore's people on the island. I don't think Penny's Dad will stay on the island since he probably can come and leave as he pleases.

But it's too early to speculate about these things now.

I don't know. I'll go and check if she said anything last week.
ETA: I just watched Kristin's WWWK show - Watch with Kristin - WWK Show: Get The Latest <i>Gossip </i>! Plus, <i>Brothers & Sisters</i>, <i>Moonlight</i> and More!
She said she'll be in Hawaii on the Lost set with the cast by the time we see her show. So she's already there.
I think she said we'll get more goodies a little close too when the show returns.

After staring for another 10 minutes to the animation, I've started to see a logo for real, but it may be my mind playing tricks because now I know what I have to look for.
If he doesn't plan to stay, why he's going there in person? I mean, he may want Ben neutralized, and then he'll go to visit the island, maybe after finding a way to have Ben spill some secrets about the place.
I'm saying this because if Ben is going to pwn even Widmore, aka the Big Bad Wolf, right under his nose. we'll reach a new level of ridiculous with the bug-eyed bastard.

Why are you trying to bring logic into this?
Why did Ben kidnap Sawyer and Kate?
Why does the allmighty island let people go if he'll need them to go back?
Why isn't Widmore's group killing the people on the island if that's his intention?

I really think they'll make Ben a fighter for the good side.
I'm just not sure how long he'll be around.

I guess Jennifer or Korbi might fill her in tonight or maybe she's already answered some questions for the spoielr chat.
Maybe she'll give us some details earlier, but she'll probably put up her interviews a bit later.

If Josh isn't there, I'll be too disappointed to get mad.

But all that stuff had a convenience, Widmore showing up in episode 10 to leave in the finale is totally random for the elements we have so far, I don't kow.
Yeah, we should expect her to milk the interviews/info for as long as she can and for all it's worth (not that I blame her, it's just frustrating especially if she starts with mentioning the stuff we don't care about).

So he's not saying Widmore shows up in episode 10, but one before the finale. How specific.

The only Losties who could die in the retrievel are Locke, Sawyer or Claire.


Who knows. It's the latest unanswered mystery. Unless they are freighters. Or the Others.

BTW, with the sightings we have, his rumor only fits in episode 9 or 10. If, say, it gets confirmed that episode 9 is Sayid-centric and 4x10 is Kate-centric, we'll know he's a foiler. If Ben gets one of those two episodes, he may be real.
Locke and Sawyer are out of the question, it should be Claire (they can't kill another minor character - again - with Karl and Danielle just shot), and I have troubles seeing Claire dying... at least this season.
