I first got hooked when they started showing the commercials announcing it premiering and then when it premiered I knew I had to watch it, because it was so darn good!!! Then it became watching for the relationships especially the one between Stephen/LC and also it didn't hurt that they were the same age as me because I also graduated in 2004 so, it felt like I could relate to them too.

One day they had a marathon of the first season on MTV and I ended up watching most of it and got hooked. I didn't even plan on watching the second season but when it premiered I watched it and now I'm hooked. I just think of it as my guilty pleasure tv along with the O.C. because even though I can't relate to any of the characters I still keep coming back for more.

I actually don't even like half of the people on the show. But, I haven't had a show I could fully mock in a while. Like, I hate Jessica because she's just ... such a coward. And LC is just far too obsessive. She needs to get over Stephen ... he doesn't want her. And stuff like that ... but, I don't actually "care" about the characters at all. That's why I won't be on this board as much. I consider it, like most MTV programming ... Mindless Reality Mock TV.

You don't think they play up the whole money thing? Why do they totally scan the houses and play up the tiffany's and whole dior shoe thing...

I agree that they totally play up the money thing. The whole spending $600 on Dior shoes was crazy. And they always talk about how great their houses are. But the thing that really gets me is that none of them drive really extravagant cars...I would think that if you had all that money everyone would be driving Benzs and BMWs.

I dont think that they make the money a main focus... I think its just something thats there. I watch because of the relationships, they are just so darn hooking lol.

at first i was intrigue about it--you know it says the real o.c..........since i am a big fan of the o.c i watch it.......now, i have 1 reason why i can't miss a single eppy of LB.....and that is........

I don't think that the people on the show play up the money. Showing the houses and the Dior stores etc. is a camera choice. If the cameras wanted they chould choose to focus on the people not their surroundings. MTV plays that up.
If it were ridiculous I COULDN'T watch the show. __________________

i have no idea why I started watching it. I watched it from the first episode. I thought the first episode was so boring, and I hated Lo at first. But something just clicked. I have to say the first season was better than the second in my opinion.

I was just flicking through the channels and came across it on MTV. Turned out it was on all day and I thought it would be interesting to see what the kids in Cali are really like. When I saw Trey I was hooked.

the first episode i saw was when they threw a black and white party, i actually thought it was pretty funny, the stuff they talked about and their views on certain things...i dont know why i still watch it, i just do i guess
