Well, no one gets killed for being honest when I'm around I'd have to agree that most MTV shows are script-like or have manufactured drama. Having never seen this particular show, I'll have to reserve judgement, but I think you make a valid point.

I think it is somewhat scripted and highly edited. They can make one situation look like something tottaly different.

I agree I think that it has to be scripted alittle bit, otherwise the makers wouldnt know where the show is going!

It's slightly scripted. I mean, I can't even count how many times someone has said to their best friend, "So what is up with you *insertloveinteresthere*." Exact some wording. It's practically the first thing Lo says everytime she sees LC.

I think that some of this show is scripted. Some of the things that these kids say would never be said in a situation like the ones that happen. I think that MTV tells them how to act and preplans things. Like last year with the Blink 182 concert. That was totally planned out.

I definitely think that it's edited...FOR SURE. Like sometimes when it seems like LC is following Stephen, I swear she's probably just staring off into space, but it seems like he's staring @ him. It's definitely necessary to make any show successful. Scripted? Who knows? I really think that some confrontations they don't catch, they make people do over again. Like when Jason called Jess for the break-up, the camera was already on the phone before it even rang. How did the camera man know to get a shot of the phone at the moment, if not if it was already scripted that he was to call at that certain time? Who knows, that might just be purely coincidence.

But yah, sometimes I don't think the camera men could be THAT ready to get some certain shots. Like the shots that are like from the bottom of a hill or something...they couldn't have purely suspected they MIGHT get a shot there. Unless those MTV people are THAT clever.

Regardless, I'm addicted to this show, and I don't think the simple fact that it MIGHT be scripted will get anyone to stop watching it.

whenever im watching mtv and its on ill always stick around and watch it..for some reason i like it...but i dont watch it for its realistic portrayal of life..
imo its based around the truth but cleverly edited
