JulieB: I have to admit I'm a little nervous about that too. I wonder if the reason why the VD fanbase isn't as large as the LoVe one, cuz we haven't really seen them on screen yet. In my mind there is no way that they'll be as HOT as LoVe, but who knows what others will think. I really hope that TPTB don't try to make VD passionte like LoVe, because I don't think it can be pulled off. KB and JD's chemistry is uncomparable. I personally (no offense to the TD/Duncan lovers/likers) don't see any chemistry when KB and TD are on the screen. That's just my opinion, though. I still can't get over the little clip that makes it look like Duncan is signing to Veronica. It looks really cheesy. I wonder if that's a hint as to how they'll be written?

I feel the same way Lisa. And it's nothing against Teddy at all. But it's funny in the beginning I didn't think so and even thought that Veronica's dream about him was kind of hot. But that in no way compares to the amazing chemistry between JD and KB. And I never shipped D/V. Early on I really didn't care about V's love life one way or another and was perfectly satisfied watching her pine for D, spar with Logan and date Troy and even Leo. Around Feb though I started shipping L/V and when they chose to actually put them together I was a goner. Such chemistry! I've always said whether it's banter or kissing, you name it, these two just explode onscreen together. And I guess that's what I'm most curious about, will the writers try to "create" some chemistry between D/V because it really can't be done. You either have it or you don't. But they're not all that terrible together but I think that's because KB like JD has chemistry with everyone. Of course they would have the best with each other given that fact.

It's funny because though I totally get the Duncan=Normal thing, in some ways it doesn't ring true. Veronica and Duncan have a lot of **** between them right now- the "rape" incident and the fact that Veronica suspected Duncan for a good part of the year. I'd like to see them deal with those issues as well.

I'm also a little worried about how VD is going to be portrayed. I'm wondering if the writers are going to try and get the audience to root for them. I don't think that they can compare to LoVe at all. Jason and Kristen just have such amazing chemistry and I don't want the writers to try and re-create the passion of LoVe in VD. In my mind, it just can't be done. Judging by Duncan's utterly stupid pose in that promo, I'm wondering if their relationship is going to be a little closer to sweetie-pie teen romance.

If the words "Summer Lovin...." come out of his mouth I will scream LOL!! That pose does crack me up though. It's hard to take him serious. And compare that to let's say a scene like Logan showing at Veronica's door in desperation because she's ignoring him. He completely took my breath away with all that emotion. And I had such a lump in my throat.

So why again am I worried?

fleur...I couldn't agree more. No matter what the writers do, they can never create the chemistry that LoVe has!

Both couples are so different and the VM audience seems to go more for the dramatic and angsty Logan and Veronica who actually have substance. Veronica and Duncan are fluff and cotton candy. Logan and V can be sweet and romantic, but it's not sickeningly overdone.

Lisa I know, that scene is amazing! And even though it is heartbreaking I've seen it so many times. It's filled with such raw emotion, just like the beach scene but I can't help watching it because it's so compelling. And I think fleur, you're right. We the fans kind of crave that but then we get the best of both worlds because their relationship is just so sweet and sexy on top of all the angsty stuff and it all balances out perfectly. And it doesn't feel over the top.

As for spoilers I bet since I have to work tonight they'll be more sides up. It always works out that way for me on Friday nights.

JulieB - I haven't seen the scene yet, so I'm looking forward to it. I've only seen a small clip from a video that someone did. All I know is that he says "What can I do...what can I do to make it better." Just those lines alone break my heart - you're right there is SO much raw emotion. I can't wait to see the whole scene play out!

fleur - I agree with your description of VD and LoVe. VD is all fluff, while LoVe is very little fluff with a lot of passion and angst! I love how Logan is always twirling her around when they're kissing. I've never seen that done on screen before and it comes off as incredibly passionate. Like he can't stop kissing her to even walk!

Well, there haven't been a whole lot of D/V moments...and it got pretty squicky after we found out that Duncan thought she was his sister. Though I do remember everyone thinking that D/V were pretty hot in that dream sequence.

I expect that there will be more D/V shippers climbing out of the woodwork next season. It's just bound to happen. Some people go for the puppy love-type relationships.

I'm expecting that as well, although I don't want to see it happen but I suppose it's bound to. Ah, well. I guess I've just got to keep thinking that the couple that starts the season together, doesn't stay together.

Good to know! I don't think we should necessarily have to hide how we feel, as long as we're not bashing the couple on threads that have to do with VD or Duncan.
