The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Dohring will play Mr. Carpenter, a high school teacher at Juliet’s (Zoey Deutch) school, as first reported by EW.

Ringer stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as troubled twins Bridget and Siobhan, who both have a bounty on their heads. Juliet is the step-daughter of Siobhan and Andrew Martin (Ioan Gruffudd), who returns home from boarding school and winds up attending a new school where Mr. Carpenter sees potential in her.

So far, we know that it's a local school, but I would think it's still a private school.

Do you think Juliet would be a sophomore or junior? I hope she's a sophomore!

Since it's in NYC, I'm all for this being some high powered prep school--like one from Gossip Girl or any of the real ones.

Roz, agreed! Just because Juliet was thrown out of boarding school (or left), doesn't mean they'd 'stoop' to sending her to public school, because what would other people think? I would also think it would be a prep school a la Gossip Girl.

Hey guys! I'm an avid fanfiction writer (and an actual author lol) and let's just say I'm a less than patient fan.

I put together a little speculatory "introduction" of Jason's character, which you can read here at my livejournal:
* SHADOW REALM * - Fic: Juliet and the Bard

It's only about 1400 words, but I thought it'd be a nice way to tide some people over. (including myself) Obviously we don't know what class he'll teach or what grade Juliet's in yet, but I hope it helps make the waiting easier, in any case!

Also, if Siobhan is as rich as I get the impression she is from the promos, they could easily buy Juliet's way into any other school. It's not that hard to imagine that happening at all.

Exactly, with the right donation and connections, I would think Juliet's previous grades or behavior would be irrelevant.
