Hopefully! It's HBO though, so I think there's a better chance as they're willing to invest the money upfront and don't go through spending a ton of money developing a plethora of new shows only to pick four or them like on network TV.

I think it also helps that cable TV has a 10-13 episode season, so it costs them less than network TV and they're able to give shows an opportunity to gain an audience rather than giving up after one or two episodes. I do have my fingers and toes crossed though of course!

Yay! Finally some good news... the thing with getting cast in a pilot is there is always the uncertainty about getting picked up. But, as others have said, Sarah Jessica Parker has some clout at HBO so I'm optimistic.

Yes, I'm really thinking the SPJ factor will be huge in the decision. And from what I've read it's got some buzz attached to it.

And I'm remaining positive that the pilot will completely deliver.

Well, not only does it have Jason, but it's got Rachael Taylor, the Aussie scientist chick from Transformers, so she has a lot of buzz and Amanda Walsh was in Disturbia with Shia LeBeouf, plus, there's SJP as an exec producer on a comedy that's focusing on the sexual exploits of Capitol Hill, so it's got a lot of things going for it, right off the bat, which is great news! Hopefully it's also got great writing and a great director and then we'll cross our fingers that picking it up is a 'no-brainer' for HBO.

There has been good buzz about it, so i can be positive, too.

Anita pretty much outlines how HBO works. They have shows that premiere in the last Summer, and then again in January, I think.

So does anyone have idea how big his role is in the show? Because I enjoyed watching him on Moonlight but always felt he definately needs more screentime..

The size of the role hasn't been mentioned any where officially, but given the description of it (senior legislative aide), it sounds like it has the potential to be a good size role as his character has an important position in the same office as one of the main characters.

From what I've read about the role too, it seems tailor made for Jason.

I think the role is really perfect for Jason. Plus, it's a different sort of role--mostly because it's in a comedy and not something that fits into more of the genre side of TV.

I mean, I googled the term, and landed on sites about a girl having sex with different people (for money sometimes!) in the senate. And that was about it. And then I was like: do I like that premise?

It's sort of along the lines of Sex in the City, in that Jackie's 'sex-ploits' are a main part of the show, but the book was hailed as 'witty, funny and 'in-your-face'. I think the key will be not just the acting, but the writing, to make sure it comes off as witty, funny and 'in-your-face' and have us be able to understand the characters enough where we don't just dismiss them all as shallow, power-hungry sharks.

You know you'll watch it for Jason! Let's just hope that it's watchable for more than just Jason!
