The con is a go no matter how many people purchased tickets. I asked her about it the other day, since mentioned something about good news and I guessed it quickly.

I'm trying to figure out going. I'd love to go, but I've got to look into it. I'm going to SF/Oakland the weekend before, so I'm not sure I can afford two weekends away from one of my jobs. But I'm sure Nikki will do something nice for me if I'm not there.

Is Nikki from Chicago or is she from LA? Did you meet her at the writer's strike?

I'm surprised you'd choose to go to SF/Oakland rather than see Jason though!

Julie--you should go! It's closer to you. Or maybe we can get Jenn back and go for her chance to meet Jason.

Anita--I'm choosing football and time with a friend over Jason, yeah. It's cheaper for me, to be honest. Plus, you know I'm happier at events where I don't have to pay to talk to Jason (not that I haven't.)

Nikki's from Chicago, but she's a Moonlight fan I met though LJ and then she was out here for Paley and she'd wanted to come to England.

Ohhh and I was looking at the schedule of events and I wasn't sure if the guests will be there all 3 days or if they are just there for the cocktail party and Gala on Saturday night?

Roz-Any idea when the race while be in Dec? I am really thinking about getting down to LA to go to this. It has been so long since I got to meet/see/talk to Jason. I really want to go and I can probaby get my dad to get me a room for a few nights. (He has holiday inn rewards points). The only problem may be work but I don't care I will make it work.

It looks like it's December 14th according to the website...

I may end up heading down as well, since I'll be in California this year. Last year I had headed back to Colorado, so I couldn't make it.

If Nikki told me correctly, Jason will just be there for Saturday. I'm sure if you talk to her about coming for that day, you might be able to work out a different price for the con.

As for the football game, who said anything about the Raiders, Anita? I'm actually going to a Cal game.

My friend who I'm going to that game with it coming down for the race, too. I'm always happy for more fans at the race. It helps make the time easier, I will say.

Ahhh, a Cal game is good...you can have Chuck vs the Alma Mater moments.

Thanks for the convention info as that helps me make a decision.

As much as I love Jason, flying to Chicago for one day doesn't really make sense to me, especially if I can see him in December and fingers and toes crossed, in June as well.

Well, Chuck's football game was actual UCLA vs Stanford, but yeah, same gist.

Yeah, if Nikki can work out Jason doing a video message, preferably in his tux or whatever he's wearing for the gala, that would be great!
