Given that 'Plymouth Rock' is sort of a teen BSG type show (ie, a group of (young) humans trying to find and populate a new world, etc, without the BSG aspect of them being the only survivors of a destroyed planet), I doubt Jason would be in it. The show sounds better than 99% of what the CW currently has and it seems like they're realizing that the '90210, MP/standard rich kid' teen soap shows aren't getting them anywhere, but shows with the teen soap/sexy aspects mixed with sci-fi like Vampire Diaries have gotten them their best ratings or just sexy sci-fi like Supernatural are different enough to get them the solid ratings, unlike their other failures (90210, Beautiful Life, Melrose, etc)

I also like the fact that it sounds like it's an exploratory/adventure mission to find and populate a new world, not the doomsday (the world has already been destroyed) aspect of BSG. Too bad the CW didn't realize that last pilot season that they should branch out from their rich kid soaps when they had Body Politic in the mix.

So as much as Jason would love to work with Rob again and vice versa, I doubt this would be the show as I don't think he'd want to do another teen-based show and would prefer something closer to his own age range. (I'd absolutely loved to be surprised though and find out they want a 20-something yr old pilot and co-captain of the ship or something! )

Well, this was the only thing I had read about it,

Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas is writing and executive producing a soap opera titled "Plymouth Rock." Set on board a space ship, the young travelers will be searching for another planet upon which to procreate and preserve the human race.

So I really didn't pick up that it might be geared towards just teens but you might be right in that Jason probably wouldn't be interested if that was the case.

I can't wait for the race! Hopefully we'll hear about a new guest role or other appearance soon too! It's been too long since we've seen him on our TV screens.
