Not quite news but still made me happy when I saw it. Snagged this off from A Dohring Crowd forums:

Veronica Mars is one of the best shows ever made, thanks in no small part to Logan Echolls, played by Jason Dohring. Logan, described in the first episode as "the obligatory psychotic jackass," was such a great bad boy. He came from a bad home - his father was a famous movie star who beat him and his mother committed suicide halfway through the first season. He was broody, secretive (outwardly charming, inwardly emo), and completely unpredictable. He stole his best friend's girl, then got accused of murder. Plus he liked to get up to all kinds of hijinks in Mexico (don't ask). But he could be saved - or at least mildly reformed - by a good woman, in this case Veronica Mars, played by Kristen Bell. Veronica was the only person he was willing to be good for…but not that good. And he scared her because he brought out the not-so-good side of her. Just as it should be.

Logan and Veronica were an interesting case. I'm not sure producer Rob Thomas ever intended for the couple to be together past the first season. It was obvious to fans that he preferred doughy, nice guy Duncan Kane for Veronica. But even he couldn't deny the insane chemistry between Bell and Dohring, nor the clear and vocal opinion of the fans. So this couple, which was never supposed to be OTP (a one-true-pair in internet girl-speak), ended up as the main pairing of the show. Not that Logan didn't f-it up every chance he got (hey, it's not his fault! He was just following his natural tendencies). But regardless, Logan was, and will remain, my favorite, favorite bad boy.

I also went back to the OP and update the news bit and just put links about BP in it. I wasn't sure whether to put anything about the VM movie about it in there since hasn't really been any news about it. But yes we definitely need news!

I know! Apparently RT is working on some new Pilot for the CW that's been described as a soap opera set in space or something. Sounds really bizarre!

What? That 'Plymouth Rock thing? I doubt that CW will go with that. SyFy channel, maybe. Even then, if Jason is not in it - I'm not watching!

I don't see that really being something to made into a series, but who knows. Jason being part of it (should it get picked up) would be good, I suppose.

I don't know. I think the CW realizes it must go outside the box the next time during pilot season. Nothing seems to be working for them at the moment. The Vampire Diaries because of the current craze -but everything else has failed in the ratings.
