I never argue with Jason, even when I confuse the hell out of him.

Plus, he'll take the time to talk to fans for fun. You can never argue with that.

Bringing up this thread to post some quotes about Jason from (former)coworkers. I was bored at work yesterday and came across an old Teddy Dunn interview where he praised Jason. So I decided it would be fun to gather these and post

Teddy: Yeah, that's a funny story. Jason auditioned for Duncan originally and I auditioned for Logan originally. And he definitely came in and swooped up that role. I was in New York at the time, so they were pretty desperate at the end, I think. Duncan was the last character to get cast. They flew me out to audition for it. And things went my way. But yeah, I originally read, went on tape in New York with Logan's sides. And Duncan didn't even have any sides when I showed up to audition for him. Rob went home and wrote a scene for it. That was the scene I was talking about earlier, the scene where I'm asking Veronica to run away with me. So yeah, I think things definitely turned out for the better. I think we were cast in the right roles, the both of us. But I'm sure Jason's Duncan would have been very, very interesting as well.

MI.net: How would you have played it differently?

Teddy: You know I don't think I can even comment on how I would play it differently. I don't know, because I never got the opportunity to really perform the role. And now when I get the scripts, I look at it from Duncan's point of view. So I haven't really thought a whole lot about that. But it would be fun maybe for one time, maybe Jason and I could have a scene together where we could switch roles. At least in rehearsal or something. That would be fun. We actually talked about something like that. You know, how John C. Reilly and Philip Seymour Hoffman did True West in New York, a few years ago, and every other night, they flip-flop their roles. Maybe we could do something a little like that.

Teddy: Jason's funny too. He's a good guy. We hang out a lot on the set when we're working together. We'll play chess or whatever. And he's a big poker player too. So it's not like he's all work and no play. That's definitely not how Jason is at all. But when it comes down to his character, and preparing, and all that stuff, he's definitely a true professional in that regard and he takes it very seriously. My experiences with Jason have been mostly at work so I guess my experience with Jason has been mostly serious.

MI.net: Not much joking.

Teddy: Nah, but he's fun too. I mean we joke around. Especially in some scenes, like the poker scenes for instance, where everybody's there, and we're all goofing around and messing around. That was a blast to shoot. We were there all night. That was some 14-15-hour shoot. That was a fun moment for Jason and me because we really got to play off each other for the first time and just have fun, just go with it. Nick Marck directed that episode. He was really great about letting us feed off each other, and having some fun moments. A lot of those didn't make it into the episode, but it was fun just to lighten it up, and do a kind of a different style of scene with Jason because most of the time we're talking about serious stuff.

Diane: I think it's a combination. I think if we wrote him differently...I mean, I really do think it's the combination. If we wrote him less edgy, I don't think it would work as well. And if you get a different actor, it wouldn't work as well. So I think it's a combination.
