The spoilers definitely sound promising Julie!

There's a bit more posted over at A Dohring Crowd. The more and more I hear, the more I get excited - excitement which I'm trying to contain until it's concrete.

According to THR, Jenny Wade has just joined the cast, too. She plays Nina on Reaper. I'm betting she'll play Ruby.

My Google Alerts also brought up a casting call in Richmond for extras needed, and it says they'll have to be around from the 23rd to the 30th, so filming is probably starting tomorrow!

So Gabrielle Union will be Jessica, which I think is insanely great and then Jenny Wade would be the Ruby character.

How exciting that filming is underway. Too bad we don't have any scouts around there that I know of.

ETAApparently too, Jason was in the newsroom the other day at the Post to do some research. You have to love his dedication and I love the fact that they said he was a nice guy, aww. Washington Post :Reliable Source

Wow this show is shaping up to have a great cast. With all these great actors joining I don't see how CW can not pick it up.

OTOH it is the "odd one out" from their likely pilots. Melrose and GG spin off will both be locks unless either pilot is an absolute disaster and even then I think they would get picked up. "The Beautiful Life" also has a good cast and since it's about models would fit a lot better with what the CW considers it's target demo (girls 18-34) and would be good for after ANTM. "Vampire Diaries" would be tempting because of the Twilight craze.

The script for this was great and the casting even better but it's not a natural fit for this network which loves rich teens living dangerously more than anything. I hope the CW either picks this one over one of the others or picks up all five.

I honestly would hope the CW wouldn't pick both Melrose Place and the Gossip Girl spin off and instead would go with whichever one is best. As for The Beautiful Life, while I know it's an Ashton Kutcher production, I don't know about that one either...I would think they'd be better off with Beauty & the Geek 3 or whatever, but that's just my opinion.

My hope with Body Politic is that they realize their audience is less 'tween' and they want to expand their shows from HS to young people just starting out in life, etc, which to me, would be why Melrose Place and Body Politic make sense, as they're more about a mix of sexy, young people, trying to start the rest of their lives.

As a side note, I absolutely love that Jason went to visit The Washington Post, so he could talk to people and get a feel of the place!

Not surprised at all to hear of Jason's visit to The Washington Post. He always plans so meticulously for his roles and is so dedicated to his craft. I really hope things are going well on location and we get more snippets of info soon!!

I've really loved what I've read about this pilot so far. I guess if it's not a go for the fall, midseason might work too. Although airing in the fall would give it the much better shot at succeeding.

I haven't heard much that's good about the MP redo, but that's just from my conversations.

Who knows what will really happen, though. For now, we'll just take the news as it comes and hope for the best.

Ditto. I think I'll always be iffy on Minka Kelly but Jason's part seems great. I'm looking forward to seeing how that Jessica/Lucky relationship plays out with Gabrielle and BAG, plus any scenes they might have with his character.

Heh, I've never watched FNL, so I don't know Minka Kelly at all, but since I consider both Gabrielle Union and BAG to be sexy and have enjoyed their acting in the past, I'm hopeful their scenes together will be enjoyable.

I don't watch FNL either, so I have no idea what Minka Kelly is like as an actor...as for the others that have been announced, I like pretty much everyone...although, I don't think I know Jenna.
