I really like the character of Gabriel so I like the thought of him being back but I do wonder if we're getting actual Gabriel back or if it's an AU Gabriel or something

Also I don't know if the writers did on purpose or if they didn't realize it but nice little nod to Gabriel being Loki by having his mouth sewn shut

oh I didn't know that Loki and Gabriele were connected! That is good to know going forward.

:nod: In spn Gabriel and Loki are the same; and in Norse Mythology one of the story's is that Loki had his mouth sewn shut by dwarves

I'm pissed that he just left after they helped him

I would agree if it did not seem imho to me that he was scared s***less. I mean he was inprisioned for who knows how long. And before that he watched Lucifer kill his fake him. Who he thought was really him. Now Sam and Casttiiel expect to willing a version of Micheal he knows nothing about. Frankly I would have run as well if I were him.

Gabriel has run before as well. It would have been more surprising for his character to not run and fight with the boys.
