... hm ... all about Dean? ... But why was his mom killed then? he was way to young back then to have done something ...

I agree with what you said, good point. Sam really could lose the will to hunt then ... we know that Dean is not doing it just to find the killer. He said that on their way to find this thing, they could very well help other ppl / kill other bad things. Sam left this kind of life once, so I think you're right ... he would lose the will to hunt ... he would be satisfied and wanna start a new part of his life AGAIN ... without hunting ...
And that's when the writers would have to bring up a bad thing that really is after the Winchester family ... I hate saying that, but it's how it is ... it is TV ... this show has writers ... we have to think about that as well. And maybe that's what would get ppl interested in the second season. Why doed Sam still fight when he actually just did it to find Jess' and his mom's killer and it's dead now? What makes John (assuming he will still be alive) keep fighting? (he only started because of his wive as well ... so why should he keep doing it when it's dead?) The only person we know of who's not doing it just for revenge is ... Dean ...

But then again, why should Sam and John keep fighting when their wife and girlfriend got kille because of something that has to do with their family? It's dead then ... or happy or whatever ... but not dangerous anymore ...

When I think about it, no matter why this thing killed Jess and John's wife ... I guess John and Sam will think about stop huntin then ... Sam more then John, but John as well, I think ...
And then Dean would have to convince them to keep fighting. They know about those evil things, they know how to fight them. They can explain things that might seem to unbelievable to others and help them with it ... and Dean really seems like he's more wanting to help others then just get revenge ... I guess he's seeing it more like that" we have to kill whatever killed my mom (and now Jess) 'cause it might / will kill again and we have to help those ppl.
That's what I like about Dean. And that's why I think that Dean is the most mature one of the family ... ok, this might be the wrong word, but I think you know what I mean.

So I think that we will see Dean explaining to Sam and their dad a lot that this is not jus about revenge ... that they can help and they have to help ... they can't just stop and let more ppl die than necessary. Because I think that when they will get close to really kill whatever thing killed Jess and their mom ... Sam and their dad will mostly concentrate on that ... maybe only ... and try to ignore the other things happening around them ... Dean won't ... he wants revenge as well, but he knows that his mom is already dead, so helping others makes much more sense that just wanting revenge.

(ok, did we have a theory like that yet? lol ... kinda OT since we were talking about why this thing killed the two women, but ... well ... )

hmm I have another theroy about that

What if they find John in the middle of the season and resolve all the misunderstandings and are finally a real family again, so they find that "thing" and realize that it hasn´t anything to do with the Winchester family and it was just a coincidence. They fight the thing and John died because he tryed to protect Sam and Dean, and now Sam and Dean have to use a really bad spell to kill it and because of the spell the release a power they didn´t know existed.

So John is dead and Sam and Dean are on their own with a power hunting [i]them[/b] because of the magic they used. That would be one tragic season final, I tell ya

oooohhhhhhhh, I like that!!! I really do!!!

And that would even give Sam the will to keep hunting ... I mean, he would have to keep hunting ... so maybe Sam would be tired and lose the faith in what they do ... you know, they wanted to kill a bad thing and what happened once they did? Another member of their family died and once they killed hits one bad thing - ta da - something new (maybe even worse?) ... he would be tired and think that no matter how much they'll be trying, they can't fight it ... they can't fight the bad things in the world ... so if it will get them, then it should, 'cause killing it won't help ...
That's when my theory about how Dean would help Sam realize that it's not just about them would fit in ...

Hey Sonya ... why don't we just write our ideas to the writers of SN ... they would have to shoot different versions of this season's ending, but ... who cares?

and let me re-phrase what you said:
I love when we get into theory mood

I guess Sam wouldn´t have a choice but fight to stay alive and maybe because John is protecting them both and dying because of it he finally realizes that he has to keep hunting in honor of his Dad and the people who can´t protect themselves, and maybe he is the one who have to help Dean to keep the faith.

lol we def. should do that, I think we have some great theorys going on and I wouldn´t mind a million different versions of the finale...because that would mean more Jensen and Jared Action and that´s always a good thing.

That's exactly what I'm talking about

Hm ... as to how Dean is right now ... I couldn't see him being the one that losed the faith in what they're doing ...
But yeah, maybe John dying would help Sam to understand why they are doing this ... maybe he will tell Sam why he was doing that all the time ... and that dying is not that bad, 'cause he helped a lot of ppl to stay alive in tha past 20 years ...
Maybe that helps see sam what they have to do ... rescue lives ... help ppl ... and try not to die ... they've always done everything to fight the death and they won a lot of times ... and maybe his dad saying that while he's dying will help him ...
He'll see that he can't just stop hunting and fighting the evil ... they have to keep doing this in order to help ... to fight the death, 'casue that's what they have done all their lives and wanna do ... fight the death ... they wanna fight their death if this is what this demon or whatever is after ... or another demon ... and his father dying because of helping others and telling him that he has to fiht and why might help him to understand that they are not fighting for revenge and to fight their death ... but to fight death ...
I think Sam already understood that, actually ... but did, ut he can't understand it ... I'm sure there'll be some more / a lot more scenes in future episodes that will show that Sam can't foget Jess and wants revenge ... wants whatever killed her dead ... if he helps ppl while doing it, well, good, but actually, it's just for Jess ...

I mean, in the last epi, he didn't even think about that those things can read minds ... sure, I stick with what I said ... he did it to help, not for Jess.
But after the flight, he started thinking that he might have made a mistake ... banned something that knew about Jess ... (in his mind) most likely had to do with her death ... so again, it was about her ... not while fighting, but after fighting ...

at the end, it will always be about Jess for Sam, I think ...

I think that after Sam kills the thing that killed Jess´ (and I´m sure he is the one that will do it) he will finally understand that nothing changed at all. He is still feeling lost and hurt and maybe that´s the reason why he contines the hunting even after Jess´is no loner an excuse to do it, maybe he is just searching for something more, something worth fighting or worth living for and maybe he thinks he will find some answers on the hunt and (like dean said) saving a few people on the way.

About Dean: If my theroy is right and John gets killed I guess we have a completly different Dea nto deal with. Dean loves his dad so much (we don´t know much about their relationship but I guess that´s for sure) and he always was his role model, his shoulder he could lean on maybe, so this time it would be Sam´s responsibility to keep Dean alive, because the Winchesters have a way with self-destruction

OK, how many different theories do we have so far?

But I like that. Dean suddenly being the one who needs to be hold. Who needs to be told that everything happens for a reason. 'Cause that's what's Dean doing right now ... he told Sam that they are looking for that things, but while doing it they can very well help others ... so there kinds is a reason ... they wanna find that thing and kill it ... that's the reason why he knows about evil things like that and the reaosn he wants to help others so they don't have to suffer that much.
So when Joh dies Dean would think that it's not about helping anymore ... he would see that no matter how much they help, there are still a lot of things they can't fight / they can't help others with. Now they couldn't help their dad. And you're right, he probably sees his dad as a big role model ... his hero, kind of ... so him dying would be ... very bad ... he would probably think that if he couldn't make it, then they can't either. Then Sam would have to remind him why they are doing that. That even if there are some people that lost their lives there were way more who didn't ... and they have to keep doing that ... help ... so it won't get worse than it already is ... 'cause, no matter what, it will never be good ... it can only get to a pint where it's not that bad anymore

How about we connect both theories again? First Sam has to help Dean ... 'cause Sam feels strong in the beginning ... he kille dthe thing that killes Jess (and his mom) ... he found revenge ... his father's dead, but he knows that it was for a reason ... he knows it from his father that everything happens for a reaosn, everything, even death (I'm sure that's how John's seeing it by now). So, Sam helps Dean ... Dean gets better ... but as time passes ... Sam realizes that he's actually not feeling better ... revenge made him feel good for some time, but now ... Jess still is gone, even worse, his father is gone as well and no matter what he said about it ... he's still gone and this can't be a good thing ... he still isn't happy again 'cause he's still facing dead all the time ... and he gets tired, realizing that he doesn't feel better and no matter how much he's doing it won't get better ... so then Dean has to help Sam.
This would mean that there is one point where they both don't have as much faith as they would need to have ... and those epis would be the most interesting, I guess.

ETA: ... I'm writing too much ... SOOOO sorry

I love when you write much Anne, you have an amazing mind (honestly)

Okay I´ve got another theory (and I have to admit: a not likely one)

What if John was the one who killed the mother. I mean we now nothing about him and he has a very scary double oh and after the house burned down in the pilot did you see the look John had on his face...scary.

So let´s say Mary was pregnant with Sam and was about to lose the kid, John knew this and made a deal with the devil, Sam doesn´t die and in exchange he sacrifice his soul. So after John was a few weeks old the devil possed him and killed Mary (why? I still have to figure that out) maybe he wanted John to suffer and maybe something happend after Mary´s death.

And maybe because of the deal and John unwillingness to sacrifice himself the devil goes to the next best victim. Sam
So Sam hot possed in the pilot and he is the one who killed Jess.

Okay I just read that and It sounds super stupid
But I´m having a bad cold so please be leniently

aw, I hope you'll fell better soon, hon

and ... ... ok, just becuase it is so much fun ... let's see what we would need for this theory ...

A very sick Sam who's about to die and makes his mom and dad more than sad.
Since I don't think that John knew about things like ... ghosts and stuff ... I guess he goes to a bar, meets someone (a guy) and talks and talks and talks ... and gets drunk, totally drunk.
So ... this "guy" is not just a guy, but ... something bad ... actually, something that thinks it's doing good things, 'cause, well, it would help them save Sam. And in return, he gets a life ... or even better: he gets something nice to eat (everything that once has been inside Mary (that's her name?)).
Of course, that's something odo, because he saved a life and about this other person dying ... well ... everyone gets hungry at one point
Of course, he wouldn't tell John that he'd kill her. He'd probably tell him that John is selling his life by "signing" this contract ... of course, he does sell his life ... 'cause his wife will be dying and what kind of life will there be left? right, a really really sad one. (I think you know what I mean)
And then, of course, John wants to find ths thing again ...

Two problems: I think there is no way that John could have killed her ... how? she was upstairs and saw "him", walked downstaires and there he was, sleeping peacefully.
Same with Sam. He got home and we saw everything he was doing while he's been home. There's no way he could have killed Jess and pinned her at the ceiling (why are they at the ceiling anyway?)
And another problem: Why Jess as well? This would mean that something bad was about to hapen to her ... cancer or whatever ... and someone selled his life to save her ... and, honestly, I doubt that after what happened to his mom Sam would have agreed to anything like that. And if there was something like that, but not Sam signed this contract, but one of Jess' ex-b/f ... why so late? Why did this thing wait so long this time? (I doubt Sam and Jess ahve just been together for some weeks ... I mean, they were living together)

So, yeah ... I guess this scenario is impossible ...

though I'm sure we could find a way to make it possible

I told you it´s impossible but if anyone could make it possible it would be you

But I do think it would be possible for Sam und John to kill them. John had this weird double running around the house (so maybe it wasn´t the "real" John we saw downstairs watching TV maybe the "real" John was in Sam´s room killing Mary not out of free will of course but maybe he was just possed)

and Sam: he comes home, he hears the show and is lying down in his bed...and there just for one second the screen goes black than he wakes up and BUM girlfriend is burning

and in this second when eyerytings goes black, that´s the moment when this evil spirit posseses Sam, kills Jessica (who was in the shower) and leave Sam as quickly as it came, so Sam open his eyes and ...the rest we all know.

aww yesterday I had a few very good theroys and I even wrote them down but forgot them at work (typical )

Ok, we are all talking about how this season could end ... and we are all saying that it will end with them finding this thing that killed their mom and Jess. ... and how it could go on in Season two then ...
BUT ... what if they just THINK that what they killed is that thing?? They will think they killed it and then ... another woman dies like that ... their uncles wife, whoever would be blonde and involved with the Winchesters ... and then they realize that it's not over yet ...
And it starts again ... looking for hints, looking for that killer ...

I mean, why not? they could make Sam, Dean and John look for that thing until the show's end ...
Or at least for one more Season (after the first seaosn the "oh damn, and we already thought we killed it" thingy would get boring ...)

You know, they know what they wanna find ... but maybe they can't get the easiest clues ... because they wanna find it so badly and are so scared of it ... so maybe their subconscious makes them miss things ...

(ok, we are oficially crazy )

we are but I like it

hmm...that is a theory I NEVER thought of but it would be a great cliffhanger with one error. I want John dead. I love John, he is one of my fav. Charas but I think the outcome would be so intense if John would die.

Sam and Dean would be standing at the beginning again, cause the thing isn´t dead but now they on their one, completely lost and the Journal John gave them is also missing (just for the drama effect)

you really wanna make me think about this "the Winchesters are actually the evil" theory, huh? ... I promise you, I'm trying, but it's difficult ...
I mean, you said it ... ion just one second? Could he really do that?
And the person asleep in front of the TV definitely was John ... we saw him running upstaires into Sam's room (did we? I'm confused )
And there is no way that the same person could have made it from Sam's room to the couch in less time than Mary ... plus, he had to use the same way, but Mary didn't see him? Didn't even feel a chill? (ok, the light was kinda weird)
And another thing: even if something made them kill Jess and Mary ... how could they pin them at the ceiling? This thing could make John and Sam kill Mary and Jess, but not give them supernatural powers ... to give them supernatural powers, Sam and John would have had to be posessed. And I guess we would notice that. Some weird movement, something with their eyes, the way they look. We probably wouldn't notice that right away, but after watching it again and again and again ...

Oh, I've just noticed that whatever killed them, it's REALLY smart ... I mean, it doesn't just kill
He made Mary (is that her anme???) think John is in Sam's room ... everything's ok ... she goes downstaires and ... OMG!!! there John is, on the couch, asleep and definitely not upstaires in Sam's room. He made them feel save ... she felt weird, but then saw "John" and felt save.
Same with Sam. He came home again and found the cookies and the note (though I guess those were really from Jess) and heard her showering. He felt save, happy to be home again and probably a little bit excited to take his girlfriend in his arms again when she comes out of the shower ... well ... yeah, we all know how that ended.
I know, not really a theory, but that's just somethng I've noticed ...

(ok, why are we like the only ones posting in that thread? )

Ok, if you want John dead so badly ... then you'll get dead John
(I actually want him to die as well, btw ... )

And I agree that it would make it even more interesting ... they thought they won but actually, they probably don't really know more than before ... even worse: they don't have the journal that helped them a lot!! and they don't have their dad who still could help them a lot!!

oh, I like it.

(and how bad is it that we want John to die ... ...)

yeah I really really really believe that the Winchesters aren´t so good at all

I know we are so bad but we love John and it´s so horrible that we want a Chara to die but in Supernatural someones had to die at the end of the Season one finale (again: drama effect) and if John would die it would help the show be more emotional and more ...darker? I don´t know

I just realized that I made a million of grammer errors today ( I totally blame that one the cold) and yeah where are everyone else?

I mean I know that we two are very entertaining but I also know there are people out there just as crazy as we are.

*promise a chocolate cake to everyone who comes out and play*
