TBH I thought it was interesting how they made it John's family who were supposed to be vessals for the two major angels when Mary's family were the one's who have been hunters for 100s, maybe 1000s, of years.

But maybe it's because they're hunters that they're not vessals, if that makes since. Sort've like they've been raging against the machine since the beginning (
 ), so a rival family, the Winchesters, were made into the vessals.__________________
