The Pada-Sloth
The Pada-sloth gets its name from one the seven deadly sins. That episode broke my heart into pieces but then I did gush about how hot Jared was.

He was also too amazing for words when he acted like a junkie. He was perfect and he did nail that episode.

I am a little turn apart about this episode. I haven´t seen it yet. On one side I am really looking forward to this episode with all of your comments how awesome Jared is. On the other side I am scared to see my beloved Sammy in such a bad condition and all. I don´t know what to think of it.

I know what you mean. I just watched it for the first time yesterday. Jared's so brilliant in it, but I had to watch a fun episode (Red Sky At Morning) afterwards, to lighten my mood!

I have watched the episode "When the leeve break" and I have posted this in the episode thread already but it is also a portray of how I see Sam at the moment so I thought to post it hear, too.

Maybe I am a little bit sick but I love Sammy more and more.
This episode was amazing - it went by so fast I couldn´t believe it that I had watched all of it when it end.

This episode had lots of great Sammy moments in them. I love almost every halluzination Sam got. The most heartbreaking was the one with Dean calling him a monster. The almost belongs to Alistair - I hate this guy and I don´t like the actor and his voice annoys me more then I can tell you.

The one with his mother was of course something he search for comfort in and who can give it better then mommy. I would have loved to see John, but it shouldn´t be.

The scene where Bobby tries to stop Sam with his gun was amazing. Jim and Jared played it perfect. When Sam says to Bobby that he should shoot him and both were so sad about it was heartbreaking.

Back to Deans halluzination scene it was perfectly cut with all the back and forth to what Dean really says and what Sam think he says. Best part is when HaluDean tells Sam that he is a monster and the realDean says that he doesn´t let his brother becoming a monster. I don´t know how many times my heart broke in this episode.

The endscene I can understand both of them. Dean is scared and worried about Sam and what he will become and Sam tries to do the right thing and ends the apocalypse. When Dean finally tells Sam that he is a monster after Sam begged him to trust him and follow him - I could have hit Dean by myself. With this Sams worst nighmare came true. He put all of his heart and soul in Dean when he begged him to believe in him and what does he gets in return is this most hurtful thing Dean could have done.
And didn´t Dean listen to Bobby at all? When he told him that he should never come back.
When Sam almost killed Dean my heart stopped. I was shocked and totally felt for Dean in that moment. I wanted to hug him and protect him from Sam but on the other side when he told Sam that - when he walks out of the door he should never come back - I wanted hug Sam, too.

My heart doesn´t know what to feel anymore after this episode. All I know is that I love both of them to death! I hope that in the final episode and in Season five they both realise that they made mistakes and that they should fight together not against each other.

I hope my post makes any sense to you - I am still totally mixed up with my feelings.

I almost forgot to say something about Castiel. I am so disappointed in him. How could he do something like that. I know he has orders to follow but you can see that he doesn´t agree with it at all. That he feels bad and guilty doing it - so why did he do it at all. And why he isn´t teaming up with Anna and kicks some ass but rather having her send back to heaven. I hope for some explanation in the next one.

After reading my thoughts again - you could think that I blame all on Dean but that is not true. I can understand Dean and how hurtful it is for him. It is brillantly played by Jensen. But I can understand Sam as well and feel heartbroken for him, too. The acting from Jared was also brillantly. And so was Jims.

He was ready to get killed - he hadn´t the will to life and was heavy suicidal. Ruby rescued him and gave him something to live for: revenge of Lilith! This thought was the only thing that kept him alive this terrible four months.
I can´t blame him for trusting her after that. It would have been easy for her to kill him but to his suprise she helped him. Ruby was clever to gain his trust like this. She was there for him when he needed someone the most.

When Dean came back from the dead, it didn´t mean that his guilty feelings were gone, too. He wasn´t the one who was able to rescue him.
And Dean came back softer and weaker (and not in a physical or hunter way). He was broken because all of the things he had to do in hell and they did with him. Sam noticed this and wanted to help him. Take some of the weight of Deans shoulders. The demon blood was the wrong way and at first he didn´t like it - but it worked so he kept doing it. The thought of killing Lilith kept him alive - such a thought you don´t throw away so easily. And then the real problems began because he got addicted to it. And he wasn´t the same person anymore. But through all of this I can still see that there is still some Sammy deep in him and the sorry was a good starting and with a little help from his brother - he can get better and more like the old Sam again.

He started all of this because he love his brother so much and it nearly killed him when Dean went to hell. After he had lost his mother and Jessica because of himself - he lost his brother, too, just because he was to weak to kill Jake when he had the chance to do so. I can´t blame him for the need to feel stronger and the demon blood helped him to feel it. And he puts all these walls around him to not get hurt again. When Dean arrived he wasn´t ready to let them down. Maybe he was scared to loose him again and that he wouldn´t survive another death or injury of Dean. Because of that he tried to be the stronger one and the one who stop the apocalypse so Dean would be safe. You could see that when Dean got in the hospital again, after what Alistair did to him, how scared and hurt Sam was. He even begged Cas to do something. When Cas couldn´t help him - he thought that he should put the things into his own hands so that Dean wouldn´t get hurt again.

I must say that Jared's improved a lot since season 1. I mean, he was never a bad actor, but he's become so much better. Perhaps Jensen's been a good influence on his abilities?

It's his frustration and him blaming himself for all the things that had happened that pushed him to destruction. Poor Sam.

I totally agree with this too

it's everything that you guys mentioned and his utmost desire to get revenge on Lillith and his belief that it was the right thing to do that pushed him into that path. And even after everything that happened in the finale, I really loved that last part when he said sorry to Dean.
