Ok so the title is kinda corny, If somebody can come up with something witty let me know.

The writers of SPN are awesome, they are in a league of their own, so I thought it was about time they got their own apprecation thread.

So gush about your favorite SPN writer...

wow! i'm the first poster...

i'd have to say Ben Edlund. for the simple reason that he has written some of the funniest and scariest episodes. one ep in particular (the title escapes me right now for some reason arg!) was a fearless one wherein he basically subtley spoofed SPN!

of course, Eric's a given so i think he should be exempted, since he created the series and all

i have another one, but i'm drawing a blank. lemme check imdb and get back to ya.

For the longest time Sera was my fave SPN writer but after last nights episode Ben has stolen the crown from her. I LOVE Sera's episodes, they are always filled with such beautiful brother moments, and always pose such interesting questions. ....but Ben is just so much fun!

oh i would have to agree! Sera's episodes have really touching moments; but yes! Ben's like a child cut loose in a candy factory! hahaha!

I agree Sera & Ben are probably my favorite writers.. but of course I can't forget about Master Kripke, after all he is the brains behind the whole operation..

I love Ben's episodes. He's lot of fun. I also love John Shiban's episodes. And I agree that Sera puts in some great brotherly moments! Eric is my absolute favourite SPN writer, of course.

For me, I didn't even count Eric. He's the genius behind it all, so he's just a given ...and he kinda ticked me off with TM7

Ben and Sera need to do an episode together.

I love when they do inside jokes and how they take something that everyone does and give it their own spin. And the best part about them, is that they are able to laugh at themselves. Like all the jokes in the last episode making fun of the writer strike.

Sera is my fave actually. Her episodes have great brotherly moments and how she writes the two just makes me feel so much for them. Maybe, it's the girl's sensitivity.

Okay The Kripke is a given...

Shiban aint so bad, though he hasn't written anything in a while has he?
And his episodes were definitelly better in S1 than they were in S2 IMHO.

Sera has her moments and really good ideas, sure! But over all, definitelly not my favourite.
I think she was at her best while writting with Raelle, who I do think was just as good on her own and was quite a loss when she did leave.

For me, Ben is definitelly UP THERE!

And I got to say I can see this new guy, Jeremi something slowly slowly climbing up the ranks... He's not there yet, but I got to agree with Eric. He's a keeper! And if they do keep him I can see great things from him eventually!
