Yay Halloween mentions! And Christmas episodes flashbacks! Gotta love those classic Supernatural openings! Dean with the Chinese food A new case! The husband is involved for sure! He has the nanny cam! Seeing himself on the footage! Dean showing Sam the footage! Shapeshifter! Bringing back a classic! Omg! It’s the babysitter! Omg! She took his heart! Sam and Dean back on the case! Melissa is acting sketchy! Dan at the door! White Witch? Interesting! Interesting not really a spell! “the fake kind” that is a horrible salon name! learning more about the legend! Saw that one coming from a mile away…I hate Amara! Dean is definitely not in love with her! Ugh…gag me please! Get over yourself Amara! Got the cheap part right! Is she gone for good now? Hope so! I’ve had more than enough of that storyline!! Dean doesn’t want it be Amara! Not love…not one bit! It was a good episode…heartbreaking but good.

I really liked it I love the fact that Dean told Sam about his feelings for Amara - the boys being honest and talking with each other - that's the SPN I love I also liked the rock/paper/scissors thing - looks like Dean finally won

It's very good! And the ending is the best I have read somewhere that Sam is the "big brother" during the last scene of the ep

I LOVE LOVE LOVE How their relationship is changing/maturing/growing.

Thoughts on the show...

ROCK PAPER SCISSORS!! DEAN!! YAY!! OH MY GOSH I WAS SO PROUD OF HIM! Seriously I squee'd And the look on his face! OMG so precious! Jensen did a fantastic job with that scene.

Mr Right vs Mr Right Now...Dean honey, there are millions of fangirls that believe you are Mr. Right!

the whole food thing... too cute!

DEAN WITH SOCKED FEET! DEAN WITH SOCKED FEET! PEOPLE DEAN WITH SOCKED FEET! ...I do love myself some Winchester socked feet.

DEAN TOLD SAM ABOUT AMARA! YAY! I am so happy Dean finally told Sam, I was just waiting for the angst that would have come when Lucy would blab to Sam about it...but no DEAN TRUST SAM ENOUGH TO TELL HIM! ...and what a great scene that was! You could tell Dean was scared to do it, and I don't blame him lets face it, Sam can be moody about these kind of things...but he took the chance and he opened up to Sam...AND SAM WAS AWESOME ABOUT THE WHOLE THING! Seriously I haven't felt this good about Sam since...S3! I think having Dean die in his arms at the end of S9 really woke Sam up. They have both grown so much this season, Dean opening up to Sam, neither of them lying or not telling the whole truth, Sam being understanding...it's just all so great! Team baddies don't stand a chance!

This whole post! You described my feelings exactly I was also waiting for angst/ fighting when Lucy would tell Dean's secret to Sam... Or when e.g. Sam somehow saw Amara in the last ep, asked Dean later who was his deepest desire, and then Dean would lie about it and Sam would say that he actually saw Amara and blah blah blah, the fight would be ready BUT I was so positively surprised at the end of this episode... I loved how Sam reacted, how he supported Dean "I got it, Dean" I love how the boys have matured over the seasons... I am so happy I didn't stop watching the show after s4 or 8 and waited patiently for better times to come, because what we have now is AWESOME

And yes, I was also proud of Dean when he finally won rock paper scissors

Kind of seemed like to me Sam understands why Dean is drawn to Amara more then Dean does. That Dean didn't choose this to happen, but he is carrying the guilt like he is choosing her. And he has actually tried to kill her twice, but she stopped him. The last time the knife shattered when it came into contact with her. I get frustrated with the show sometimes when they seem to just forget certain things like that... Dean talks like he won't be able to kill her when the time comes because of this draw she has over him...yet, like I said, he has actually tried to kill her twice! I also think its pretty likely Sam blames himself for the Dean Amara thing too because of what he did in releasing her, the darkness...I am glad for once Dean shared his real thoughts and feelings on this instead of trying to be protective of Sam. About time they have outgrown some of that.

While I enjoyed this show, as I do all of them, it seems like they are back to regular cases not showing what is happening with everyone else. Like what is going on with Castiel/Lucifer...or even what Amara (the real one) is up too, let alone the King of Hell? Did Castiel/Lucifer do away with him too? Guess we will have to wait and see...

I thought episode was good! How the curse was transmitted kind of reminded of the movie It Follows.

I love the ending scene between Sam and Dean! I love that Sam knew understand that Dean/Amara have a connection and wants to help Dean and didn't judge him. Love the brothers are talking and trying to not keep secrets anymore.

I also think Sam will find about Casimir in the episode that is week too.

I know exactly what you mean. I've been so disappointed with how the writers have handled the brothers since well after season 5 for sure, but even season 4/5 had their huge brother angsty moments. But s9 was by far the worst...it had gotten to the point where I almost quit watching, the only thing that stopped me (and this is going to sound so corny) was Dean. I felt so bad for everybody giving up on him that I couldn't turn my back on him even if he was just a fictional character. ...so glad I stuck it out, because we're finally getting the pay off. I did not realize how worried I was about Dean keeping the Amara stuff away from Sam until he finally told Sam, it was like a weight had been lifted. I was just so proud of him, I know he has his reasons for keeping Sam in the dark, and I wouldn't change it because it's who he is, he protects, even if it gets him in the dog house with Sam over and over again, but the fact that he put himself out there. And then Sam's response! I've been so hard on Sam for so long, but this was the classic Sammy I fell in love with years ago.

I agree, I think Sam does understand the bond between Dean/Amara more than Dean does, and I think his understanding is going to do a lot for Dean. Right now Dean is so ashamed of himself (like he needed any more guilt on his shoulders ) and I think he's petrified that he's not going to be able to protect Sam if Amara decides to go after Sam. Maybe he doesn't remember trying to kill her, maybe he can brain whammy him? The first time he tried it was to protect Sam, and I think he'd do it again, which is something Amara isn't banking on.

Yes Bee the writers need to continue on fixing and building on Sam and Dean'so relationship! The past few seasons have been way to angst for them!

I hope Sam can help Dean snap Dean sand out of Amara's spell when they have a showdown again!

It was a great episode!!! The last scene was so great. I love how Sam was so understanding to Dean & non-judgmental. I'm glad Sam is aware of Dean's attraction to Amara.
The MotW was interesting as well. A new creature was great.

The best part was that the bros are on the same page & Sam is willing to do what his bro can't.

I haven't seen a preview for the next episode, but I'm looking forward to the rest of this season.

I know... I watched the last seasons only out of sentiment... I was sceptical about the show and used to say that is should have ended a few seasons earlier. I even stopped writing here because I didn't feel much need to discuss the episodes But FINALLY we have the show back and I feel like I want to discuss the new episodes over and over

Yes, you're right about the weight being lifted. Now I can't wait to see the new episodes

The Sam from the last episode is the Sam I love most understanding and supportive
