Actually I like a lot her scenes in ALHBL, she was very emotional.

But my least favourite scene has to be in Simon Said, she was a little irritating.

I'm with Andre!
I actually loved her in the finale. The "whiskey now, please" and the self sacrificing "shoot him," plus the Dean hug!!

Well, I was a little miffy about her in Simon Said also.
But IMO there were a couple cringeworthy moments in NE too, mostly in her interactions with Dean. Because when she was talking to Jo I could actually feel her more. But projecting her John related insecurities to the boys was totally uncalled for. Jo was allowed to have that reaction considering the circumstances, but I expected more from Ellen who's older, more mature, more experienced and had spent the time to digest the whole John-Bill thing.

Agreed!
She is more mature more older than Jo, so her actions towards Dean was a littlle immature because a lot of time passed since what happened so was time to her forgive the winchester family.

I wouldn't call it immature, just unfair and uncalled for.
I get where her anger was coming from, but I do think that lashing out on the boys was beneath her even under the circumstances.

I think her actions was a little overwhelming, because passed a long time since Bill died and she already forgiven John so why so anger with dean/sam.

Well as I said I do understand the why. It stirred up old painful memories, I just think that even so the boys didn't deserve to have been on the receiving end of that, especially since unlike John they pulled through for Jo, so she was more than a little harsh and it was uncalled for to put them in that position.

She was too hard on them.
But probably she have scared that Jo died the same way Bill did.

Exaclty! Which, again, is understandable and accepteable to a certain level, but I think that after a bit she got carried awasy and took it a little too far.

I've always wanted to write a fic between Ellen and Dean, that's like a missing scene from NE and takes place right after the end of the episode. I think I might actually get onto it tomorrow if I have some time....

I always have some curiosity to see that missing scene of Ellen apoligizes to Dean, she said she was sorry to Sam in hunted but was Dean that she was very harsh and annoying.

Now im excited to read what you came up to.

I always assumed an off camera apology/conversation happened between Ellen and Dean specifically exactly because the next episode they interact they are pretty casual with eachother as if it's something they have talked about and put behind them. It's one of the main reasons why I want to write that fic.

Though I predict, it's gonna take a while. I mean it's only a one shot, but it's been less than a week and I've done so many changes on just the outline (which is all I have prepped)...

I've only writen one other fic, a very long time ago, it wasn't SPN related and I only let very few people read it...

So yeah basically this will be my first real fic....
If I ever manage to pull my crap together and get it done....
