I love how confused Castiel was by the fact that Dean thought he wasn't worth saving. Like he doesn't understand why Dean can't see himself as others do.

I'm not the biggest fan of slash (definitely can't handle Wincest - probably cause I am in no way attracted to Sam), I only barely ship slash pairings as fanon in Harry Potter fandom (And only when I'm in the mood for it)...

Truly, I would just love to see a very strong friendship between these two. It doesn't have to be as strong as the relationship between the brothers (which I love), but, I love the new angle, and I love the new actor and his character! Plus, I love that we are going to finally see Dean in his own special storyline. I'm sick of the only special thing being Sam 'The Boy King' and his psychic powers.

I don't have anything against slash (especially if the characters are openly or obviously homosexual) but incest and angels is where I draw the line.

I've always enjoyed the fact that Dean's been a bit of a Maveric when it come to the show's mythology, because even as such he's very much involved.
But seeing him getting a more "useful" connection in this manner could definitelly be interesting, because again what makes him special isn't something supernatural, but still it's all about who Dean is in his core.

I love that Dean has become part of some huge thing and is deemed special not because some Demon gave him psychic powers but because of just being him! It totally blows Sammy's mojo outta the water!

I mean I love me Sammy, I do! But Dean unspecialness had always made him come off more special to me, and that being acknowledged it nice. Especially if the is coming from up above

I Dean and Castiel's interactions! Castiel is like the only person/being that can put Dean in his place and Dean is actually affected by it! It's awesome!

I LOVED their scene together! They have such great chemistry!! And I still can't get over Castiel's line. "I got you out of hell I can throw you right back in. Show some respect." I think that he really shook Dean up with that and showed him just how powerful he really is.

Janine I loved that line, Castiel put Dean in his place and got his attention, not many can reach out to Dean that way. I love the little banter between them and I want to see more development, hopefully Castiel can shake some sense into Dean that he is life worthy

my feelings exactly, I am not a homophobe, same sex does not bother me if they are in fact truly openly gay, but incest and angels is just way too out there for me.

Starting this thread was a good idea so everyone can appreciate Dean and Castiel relationship for what it really is, I think the guy is awesome to take Dean under his wings literally and I cant wait to see how it all turns out knowing how stubborn and deniable Dean can be, maybe Castiel can break him out of his shell.
