Claire was entirely unsympathetic. Don't know why the brothers or Castiel bothered saving her.

That may be true, but it wasn't her fault the crap her parents put her thru. I do believe that now shes trying to make the best of the situation.

I agree with Chris. I think Cass helps her so much because he feels partially responsible for her since he's the one who took her father away from her by possessing his vessel. And with her father's vessel being destroyed she will never, ever get him back. I think Sam and Dean help her because she needs it. They are willing to look beyond her problems and focus on Claire as a person who needs them to step in and help her out of a bad situation.

I'm glad other people thought she was an unsympathetic brat. I feel like she didn't even try to see things from other people's perspective. It doesn't even dawn on her that other people have their own emotions and life journeys and reasons for doing things. And it wasn't just on one issue. It continued when she lived with Jody & Alex. She had such a narrow view of everything.

Kat seems like a cool person to hang out with though.
