Reasons We Love Him

Because he's awesome.
Because when the boys need help, he's there.
Because he's like the uncle Dean and Sam never had.
Because he quotes Animal House.
Because he's a "Con Man"... and we can't con him.
Because he doesn't have a low opinion of Dean.
Because he keeps everybody in check.
Because when he takes off his hat he looks kinda funny.
Because he cleans up nice.
Because he reads John/Bobby!!!

What is the first episode that Bobby makes his first appearance?

I love how protective he is of the boys, especially Dean. Bobby sees what Dean does for his family every day, and wishes the boy would take better care of himself.

I think Bobby sees the boys as the family he never had or maybe lost. Hunters seem to live very lonely lives, not many of them have families. It seems that either they lost their family to evil and that's why they started hunting. Or it's such a lonely career they can't settle down anywhere.

I would like to know more about Bobby's background.

Hi, I would like to be added if its not to much trouble. Bobby is definitely my favorite character besides Dean and Sam. I loved the episode with the Trickster guy and how Bobby knew right away what was wrong, he's a good character for comedic relief I think.

But thats pretty much the same thing u guys already said about him being family...wow it is hard to think of reasons...I just sat blank stared for two mins...anyways I love Bobby!

the line from Magnificent Seven: Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son.

He says it to I think Gluttony...and the dean of Faber college says that to Belushi's character in Animal House.

I thought that totally rocked!

He does the comedy well, I totally agree with you. But he can also add on the dramatic level. See that scene in the S2 finale with Dean. That was heartbreaking.

Yeah... him being like family seems to be a shoe in right?
And as I can totally understand why it's difficult to explain why we love Bobby.
We just do, cause he just deserves it, because he's amazing like that.
When it's that simple you really don't need more, do you?
Though I'm sure we'll come up with some things.... eventually.... hopefully....

I hope we never go down that route, that's a little soap opera-ish for me, I think Dean is John's son, and no one else's, but I do love Bobby' fierce protectiveness for the boys, esp Dean
