Sam and Dean are legally dead, they can't go to the cops. Which has me all kinds of confused on how Sam and Becky were legally married in the first place. I get that Sam could have gotten the marriage license in a different name but then she wouldn't legally be Winchester like she said she was. So how can a dead man get a marriage license in the first place?

If the cops find out that Sam and Dean are still alive they're gonna want them for the murders in the bank vault and in the cafe which they have video footage of. So why didn't Sam requesting a marriage licenses blow their cover that Sam is in fact alive? Sam getting a marriage license in his own name seems extremely careless/reckless to me.
