I really liked that fact that from all the things Henriksen was telling the boys (and more specifically Dean) when he was teasing them, the only two bits that got a reaction out of Sam were the "You'll never see eachother again" and when Vic started bashing John, where Sam actually sat up!

But it was very nice seeing it play our like that.
Because when John is mentioned Dean loses his cool and sarcastic tude and goes all death glare-y and menacing and Sam just straightens up... and it's just sooooo AWESOME seeing the boys going in "defend Papa Winchers memory and honor" mode!

I love how even when John is merely mentioned it's like he's still there.

This wasn't my favorite episode of the season but it had it's moments.

Me too! It would have been nice if they were able to save everyone, but that wouldn't be very Supernatural if everyone lived I guess.

I really didn't need everyone to make it out alive, because, yeah, that wouldn't have been very SPN-y, but they could have at least spared Henriksen....

yeah me too, this ep was better than I thought it would be.
I just started watching this show this season, I dont reallly like supernatural stuff, but I saw ep 3 about the rabbits foot, and it was so well written, and bello was interesting, that I got the rest of the eps I had missed thru 308 and watched each week after that.
I have to say that the writing on this show is very good, it really surprisesd me.
so now I am a fan .
this show doesnt do very good in ratings but niether is rest of "new cw" shows
cw's best night [total ratings]is smallville and SN. so it should get a 4th season. but you never knwo with cbs owning cw what they will do.

Definitely, love that scene too where both Sam and Dean bristled when Hendriksen was dissing John, the Winchesters are always loyal to each other. And I also love the worried look of the boys when they were told that they'd never see each other again

And that's what really got to the two of them, the idea of being separated and not being able to see each other again.

When Henriksen said "I shot the sheriff"...there probably wasn't a viewer on the whole planet who didn't see Dean's answer coming, haha!

That makes me feel better. Because I was watching the ep over at my parents' house, and I said Dean's line before Dean did. And then got very strange looks from both of my parents.

OH MY GOD the tattoos!! So they didn't just get them for this episodes, they've probably had them for a while now. When? How? After the last time Sam got possessed? OMG!

Oh, the tattoos! But I don't think they could have had them for long, because when we saw Sam giving himself the stiches in the chest during the "three months without Dean" in Mystery Spot, he didn't have it, did he? (May have to use this as an excuse to rewatch that scene............. )

I'm not sure I believe that Ruby was really willing to die.

Okay, so it wasn't just me. I don't know - no matter how much Ruby says she remembers being human, she's still a demon. I'm not sure how much I trust her. (Well, actually, I am sure. Not much. )
