I really enjoyed the episode. It was good Supernatural. The promo. It broke my heart at the end.

Yes. John had a stroke in his sleep and died.

I don't think the show will end this season. I'm pretty confident that it will get another season (I have nothing but faith to base this on at the moment) , so they can't really kill Sammy off now can they. I don't think he'll die.

Sam's expression was hilarious.

The end made me tear up, then the promo freaking killed me. Dean shouting Sammy, Sam getting stabbed, then Dean holding him .

This finale is gonna be intense.

I loved that scene! Sammy looked so offended and shocked.

I also liked how they pretty much redid the opening pilot scene again when Sam comes down and catches Dean 'stealing' the silver.

Notice the flicker of hurt in Dean's eyes when Sam said "I can't believe we're related"?

This whole episode was heartbreaking, It's officially my second fave of the season, only behind of IMTOD and in front of House of the Holy.

Oh, so many wonderful moments in this episode. Dean's expression when he sees his Mom and even before that when he saw the picture that must've had her in it were just heartbreaking. All he wants in his subconscious dream world is to be with his mother, eat her sandwiches, and mow the lawn. Even with Dean's protests that he couldn't handle a suburban life, he still wants normal underneath it all.

And I liked that John was still dead but he at least died peacefully. I liked that the only wish that got "granted" was that Mary was still alive and the rest of the AU was Dean's subconscious filling in the pieces. I loved that Sam got to be in law school (and I liked preppy Sam) and that Jess was still alive (and Dean hugging Jess was adorable). But how sad is it that even in his own subconscious, Dean sees himself as kind of a loser without the hunt and saving people giving his life direction.

And the end killed me. When Sam said something about it not being real and Dean saying he still wanted to stay - just broke my heart for how much Dean has sacrificed and given up and will never have because of his life. Of course the AU wasn't perfect by any means but it makes me wish for some sort of "normal" for Dean - some small bit of happiness.

And the graveyard scene and the lawn mower scene and the stealing the silver scene and the throwing the cell phone out the window scene. Just perfect. Jensen really outdid himself in this episode.
