Hmmm, not a great episode, but still good. Impala is back and lookin' good as ever. Amber played a unique character I thought, I like her with the darker hair (hottie :D ). The beginning part of the episode was sketchy but got better at the end. Especially liked Dean whoppin' on Gordon, he kicked some serious a$$! Plus the brothers interaction at the end was great as usual.

I liked the episode, The guy was like a slayer, Really glad that amber/lenore didnt die,

In a interview she said she got a wicked pair of boots never saw them tho lol.

Amber was super lucky to get 90% of her scenes with Jared!
I met amber a few weeks ago again, and told her how lcuky she was lol!

Poor sam he certianly got a hard punch from Dean, and then smakced over the head with the telephone,

and dean looke bad aswell, as sam said looks like he'd gone 9 rounds with cement lol!

Overall was a good eppy. dean sharing his thoughts... but pretty much you can see how upset he is, and the humor was also in it which makes for another great eppy!

Afterlife/ children shouldnt play wth dead things is next week i think, looks like a god eppy also

First things first, hello to everybody! I'm a noob! (duh, in case someone didn't notice that already)

Although I haven't seen 'Bloodlust' yet, I could not resist the temptation of scanning through this thread. I know that there are purists around who will condemn me to eternal suffering and spanking (yay!)because of this, but what the hell... At the moment I'm downloading the latets episode, 'cause I live in bloody Scandinavia and on telly they are showing first season. I KNOW, it sucks to be Scandinavian.
Anyhoo, my post does not seem to have ANYTHING to do with the topic, so I'd better come back when I've seen the episode and so on... In the meantime smile and act nice!

I've heard about the dead man's blood before. It makes sense to only drink from the living to well...keep on living as a vampire. :look: Besides, if dead man's blood isn't a threat to them, then they could just drink from newly dead people instead of attacking alive people.....which would make vampire myths less exciting? :look:

I didn't really like this episode too much. It felt like they wanted to deal with a number of issues but there's only so much time in an episode for them to do it. They had to introduce Gordon, they had to address how Dean is dealing his dad's death, they had raise the issue of good vampires......

Next week looks good though. :D

lol, seriously. i didn't know that either. apparently the writers have been doing their vampire research or something.

I don't know where Kripke came up with Dead Man's Blood but they used it last season in the episode (I believe the eppy name was Dead Man's Blood) where an old hunter was killed by vampires and the boys investigate and meet up with their dad again. He had Dean get dead man's blood because it is a weakness of vampires. It doesn't actually kill them but it does incompacitate them.

Not as good as the previous two eppies but still a good eppy. Totally cringed when Dean hit Sam and also when he killed that vamp. Loved the line where Sam tells Gordon on Dean can call him Sammy. Awwww....

I felt sorry for Dean having to question his black or white view of the supernatural. I wonder if that will be a recurring issue this season about not all supernatural entities are evil. Hmm...

I loved seeing the Metallicar back but at the same time thought it made an appearance too soon. I wanted to see them work on it some more. Oh well...

Glad Dean started talking about his dad's death but hated that he talked to Gordon and not Sammy.

hmm...i don't remember the Dead Man's Blood episode. oh well, the whole concept makes sense, i've just never heard of it before.

yet again, it seems like Thursday should be here again already. and Bloodlust was just on last night! i should really get S1 on dvd....that would hold me over

This episode was okay. The story seemed somewhat of a letdown to me. I think I just watched Angel and Buffy so much that I always thought that Spike and Angel were the only "good" vampires. I guess vampires must be very different in Supernatural than in Buffy and Angel. I was suprised that Amber Benson's vampire character didn't try to kill Sam and Dean. I liked the Gordon character eventhough he came off as being a blood thirsty killer. I think that Dean and Sam definately made a mistake by ticking off Gordon and not killing the vampires.

diamondroad17 10-14-2006 02:53 PM

I don't think those vampires are actually good! They just won't kill because they're afraid of being killed, it's not because they actually feel bad about what they did. It was mentioned several time in the show!

Dean have some serious rage issues. Where is the hug that I've been looking for?

I watched the episode last night, and I guess I agree with everyone else, it was a good episode but not great. I think because there was alot more dialogue and less action.

But i did like all the Dean issues coming out. I liked that we saw Dean admit that he's not dealing, and i liked Sam knowing that Dean isn't dealing. I liked that Dean was still on Sam's side. I loved loved loved Dean beatinbg the crap out of Gordon. It was sooo cool. And also when Dean purposely hit Gordons head against the wall and then goes "oops sorry". Hee.

i heart jai 10-14-2006 05:37 PM

That was such a funny moment. And I loved Sam's expression at the end when Dean hit Gordon really hard after he had already tied him up. He looked like he wanted to laugh or say something and then just didn't.

Like you guys have said, it wasn't as good as the other eps this season, but it definitely had it's moments. Loved Sam telling Gordon only Dean could call him Sammy. Also loved Dean trying to get Sam to hit him because he felt guilty about punching him earlier. It was such a Dean thing to do. He couldn't actually come out and say sorry, so he did what he figured was the next best thing.

Camibra 10-15-2006 12:09 AM

It was cool to see Amber Benson in this eppie.

CogitoErgoFeminaSum 10-15-2006 01:32 AM

I also loved the part where D bumped Gordie's head against the wall :D
And the look on Dean's face just before he swung at Sam.. he shoulda seen that one comong, because that smile was not a nice smile.. gave me the chills. There was this empty look in his eyes, same one he had just after he killed the vampire at the mill... :(

AND the IMPALA is back! YAY!

Camibra 10-15-2006 04:11 AM

Yeah I forgot, the Metallicar was back, I knew it was back as soon as I heard AC/DC's Back in Black. :D

ocfan27 10-15-2006 08:14 AM

awesome episode loved it!!!!! loved when sam said that dean was the only one that can call him sammy!!! the impala is back!!! i can't believe that dean hit sam! that was so shocking!!
