Velvet Revolver #1

Okay, I did a search and was absolutely shocked. There's mentions of Velvet Revolver but no thread. Does anyone else want to share?

Velvet Revolver
Scott Weiland - Vocals
Slash - Guitars
Duff McKagan - Bass, Vocals
Matt Sorum - Drums, Vocals
Dave Kushner - Guitars, Vocals

Add some pictures later

I friggin love Velvet Revolver. My mom raised me on G'n'R, and seriously - Scott Weiland is my dream man, but he needs to eat a cheeseburger.

I'm totally into Velvet Revolver at the moment, can't stop listening to "Fall to pieces" it's an amazing song. I'm glad that I found some other fans around here.

Fall to pieces

It's been a long year
Since you've been gone
I've been alone here
I've grown old
I fall to pieces, I'm falling
Fell to pieces and I'm still falling

Every time I'm falling down
All alone I fall to pieces

I keep a journal of memories
I'm feeling lonely, I can't breathe
I fall to pieces, I'm falling
Fell to pieces and I'm still falling

All the years I've tried
With more to go
Will the memories die
I'm waiting
Will I find you
Can I find you
We're falling down
I'm falling

I`m also a fan of Velvet Revolver. When i first heard about the group being formed, i was very pumped by and i`ve liked what i`ve heard. They`re a class above of most of the other rock groups, who are pretty bland IMO. I`m going to get their cd soon.

I'm totally jumping onto the bandwagon.. Got Contraband a few days ago, and I'm liking it so far. It's definitely different from the mellower bands I usually listen to (DCFC, The Shins, Franz Ferdinand..), but I still love Velvet Revolver. Since I like mellow tones, I can't stop listening to Loving the Alien and You Got No Right right now. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for this band.

I'm a huge GN'R, not to mention Slash and Duff, fan so it was only natural for me to get into VR. The music really is awesome. It has a touch of classic rock in it, but in a new way. A lot of people have told me they wish more of the GN'R style was in their songs, but I think the songs are great without it. You can't top GN'R, imo, so I'm glad that they're not even trying to.

Scott has the figure I aspire to have. LMAO! He's so fragile, and dainty...like a girl. I actually think it's cool. Scott's a very interesting guy. Almost makes me wish I was more into STP.

In the 90's I was a huge G'n'R fan and I've always adored Duff so naturally I was excited when I read about VR. To my surprise I actually think that the music is just as great as G'n'R.
Scott Weiland is such a great singer, I've never been into STP but after this I think I'm gonna check them out.
Anyone have any recomendations which albums that's the best?

I'm really into VR and i seriously love the album, i am a huge G'n'R fan as well and i have a soft spot for Slash. I'll try and post pictures of him later.

I got the single of Fall To Pieces as i really love that song but it's cool because it has the videos, photo gallery and the making of slither.

By the way, hi, I'm Laura, i used to come to fanforums ages ago but stopped and i started again so here i am being a VR fan.

Well, I'm definitely not an expert, but I do have most of their songs on my comp. So, I'd suggest starting with their greatest hits. It's the easy way out.

That's tight. Where'd you buy it at?

I finally got the cd today and i have to say that it`s amazing and a refreshing break from all of the crappy wimpy rock bands that are in vogue. Those bands need to buy this cd and learn what real rock is about.

Nope, USA. I've never even visited another country. It's shameful, really.

Well, VR had a free concert in LA tonight. It was totally awesome. My friend and I were like 25 feet away from the stage at the most. Unfortunately, I'm short, so it was hard for me to see a lot. But my friend's really tall and he took pictures, so I'll post those as soon as he sends them to me. Anyways, it rocked. I'm so in love with Scott now. I always liked him, but VR was more about Slash and Duff for me. Not tonight, though. Scott made my night. He was very into the crowd. He got involved. And he's an amazing performer.

Unfortunately, they didn't play too much. They played Slither, Fall to Pieces, Do It For the Kids, Big Machine, It's So Easy ((GN'R)), and Down ((STP)). As well as some cover song that my friend and I couldn't place. It was pretty good, though, whatever it was.
